The Festival Online Kicked Off, Grand Opening Event on Sunday
The first event of The Festival Online Powered by 888poker was finished this Thursday. The tournament played out 25 tickets to the main event and the buy-in was rather affordable at $1 - the cheapest buy-in of the whole series.
After a little more than three hours of play, 25 lucky players picked up their Main Event ticket and secured an entry to the $215 tournament with a $150,000 guarantee which will run later this month.

The kickoff event felt almost like a freeroll with a buy-in of only $1. The tournament had a noticeable overlay of several thousand dollars which was not unexpected as the tournament's purpose was above all to give players a headstart to the Main Event and promote the series.
With a re-entry phase of 60 minutes, players were able to play loose and aggressive, as there were another 5,000 chips for just $1 should a player lose all chips. During the later stages, however, the game tightened significantly as the bubble loomed. After a little over three hours, the tournament was a little while after 11 p.m. and 25 players can now look forward to the Main Event which they earned a seat for.
This Sunday: Big Opening Event
The first of the huge tournaments of the Festival Online powered by 888poker with six-figure guarantees takes place this Sunday. The $109 Opening Event with a $100,000 guarantee starts in two days.
