PokerStars Adds €11.5K to Women’s Sunday to Celebrate International Women’s Day
Today, March 8 is a day to celebrate the achievements of women around the world as it is International Women’s Day (IWD). Online poker operators have joined in on the celebrations with the latest amazing promotion coming from the online poker giant PokerStars.
Every Sunday is already special at PokerStars as this is when the online poker room hosts its weekly Women’s Sunday event at 1:40 p.m. ET. This event boasts a $22 buy-in with satellites running for as low as just $0.22, making this event accessible to all women around the world where PokerStars is available.
PokerStars has upped the ante to help celebrate IWD as the Women’s Sunday on March 13 will boast more than €11,500 in live event packages added to the prize pool.
The winner of the special edition of the Women’s Sunday will not only win a lion’s share of the prize pool but also walk away with an EPT Monte Carlo package valued at €8,500. Other prizes are also available to the top 20 finishers including FPS packages and free satellite tickets.
- 1st - EPT Monte Carlo Main Event package (€8,500 - Buy-in €5,300, hotel €2,625, expenses €575)
- 2nd -FPS Package (€2,800 - Buy-in €1,100, hotel €1,360, expenses €340)
- 3rd and 4th - €55 live event qualifier ticket
- 5th – 20th - €5.50 live event qualifier ticket

The Women’s Sunday will be live-streamed by PokerStars Ambassador Georgina “GJ Reggie” James, who will also have a lucrative bounty on her head. The player that manages to knock James out of the event will be awarded a ticket valued at $215 to the Sunday Millions 16th Anniversary event on March 20th.
