What Is the PokerStars WCOOP?

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is an online poker tournament series by PokerStars. The tournament is considered one of the largest online poker tournaments. WCOOP was established in 2002 and comprises different events, including Limit, Pot Limit and No Limit Texas Hold’em, Seven Card Stud and Severn Card Stud Ho/Lo, Razz, Pot Limit Omaha High and Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, H.O.R.S.E., 5 Card Draw, and 2-7 Triple Draw. In addition to the wide range of games, PokerStars have attractive reward packages for the lucky winners and also to attract more poker enthusiasts out there.

The WCOOP 2023 Series

The PokerStars WCOOP 2023 will begin on September 10, 2023, until October 4, 2023. Poker enthusiasts will see the thrill and excitement of online poker events. Buy-ins start at $5.50, and there are different ways to join the festival.

The PokerStars Power Path allows players to save a spot on live and online games. The Bronze, Silver, and Gold Pass open the doors to WCOOP tournaments. The Gold Passes allow players to participate in the $10,300 WCOOP Main Event.

Several Pass bundles are expected to be released by PokerStars. These bundles will help more players join this prestigious event. Satellites offer 50/100/250 seats guaranteed for aspiring players.

The PokerStars WCOOP 2022 was packed with excitement—three hundred sixty-seven completed tournaments with 1,184,919 entries. With the number of entries, the prize pool reached $108,569,090. Furthermore, the first-place prizes increased to $17,001,233.

PokerStars WCOOP 2022 Main Event

The WCOOP 2022 concluded with the $10,300 NLH WCOOP Main Event. There were 760 participants and a prize pool of $7,600,000. Luis “Luisfaria” Faria won a $1,293,825 cash prize. In second place was “boerni21” from Hungary, with a $950,078 prize won. Next is “Prudently” from Denmark with a $697,658 cash prize. It was a tough fight for Faria since he competed against some of the best in poker tournaments. This includes Adrian “Amadi 017” Mateos, “yAAwn,” and “kZhh”.
