EMPC Main Event Satellite Schedule

There are three final satellites with a $100 buy-in (€800 8-Game EMPC Main Event ticket GTD), starting at 20:00 CEST:

• Friday, September 18 — Final Step to EMPC 8-Game Mix Main Event Seat, 21+
• Friday, September 25 — Final Step to EMPC 8-Game Mix Main Event Seat, 21+
• Friday, October 9 — Final Step to EMPC 8-Game Mix Main Event Seat, 21+

1st Step satellites with a $10 buy-in and one guaranteed seat have also been added to the $100 Final Step. They run on Thursdays and Fridays at 18:45 CEST.

Why the European Mixed Poker Championship Is One of the Most Unusual Poker Series

The EMPC schedule features 12 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from €200 to €1,500. All tournaments are Mixed Games.

For example, there are two S.O.R.B.E.T. tournaments:

Stud

• O8
• Razz
• Badugi
• Stud8
• 27TD

Some of the games are truly unusual. For example, Østfold Razz is part of the €300 Nordic Blood Mix.

According to the legend, the game was invented at a cabin somewhere in Norway. It is a variation of Razz with one additional rule: each club in your hand reduces the rank of all your cards by 1.

For example, your hand is Q 10 8 5 4 4 2 .

It contains two clubs, so your actual hand would be T – 8 – 6 – 3 – 2 – 2 – K, with T8632 as the final combination.

Here’s another unusual game — Senkel’s Paradise Pick’em. Before the hand begins, each player receives three cards (two face down and one face up). The player on the button chooses which game will be played. The selection of games is the same as in HORSE.

If PLO8 is selected, the dealer deals one more card, and the hand continues with one face-up card. If Hold’em is selected, the face-up cards are discarded. Razz is played according to 2-7 Razz rules (straights and flushes count).
