SiGMA South America Poker Tour Main Event Final Table Reached On Events Penultimate Day
Table of Contents
A total of 457 entrants took to the table over the weekend in the $R2,500 Main Event, all of whom were gunning for a piece of the massive R$2,500,000 pie. Of the 457, only the final table of nine remain in pursuit of Main Event glory. Here is the rundown of some of the biggest hands and the chip leaders in contention for the title.
Richard Wins Monster Three-Way Pot

Helton Richard qualified for the Main Event proper through the Promo Day flight, and he showed no signs of slowing down or relinquishing any of the huge stack he took into Day 2 play. He came into the day with a whopping 1,460,000 chips, which was good for second in the overall chip counts when play resumed. Second place is where the Minas Gerais native remains in the overall counts heading into the final table, and maintaining that position was aided by scooping a monster three-way all-in preflop pot.

With blinds at 10,000 / 20,000, home city representative André Leão announced a shove of 275,000. On the button, Fernando Beira tried to isolate and moved all in for 930,000 chips. However, in the small blind, Richard also woke up with a hand and called. Richard had A K , Beira J J , and Leão had the worst of it with K 10 .

The flop put Richard in the backseat and propelled Leão into the lead: A Q J gave him Broadway and Beira bottom set, and left Richard drawing slim. The A upgraded Richard to two pair, but Beira to a full house. Leão was now drawing dead. However, the K changed everything, and Richard had the fullest house with aces full of kings, eliminating both players in the process.
Ganon Leads The Way
Of the final table makers, only one is not from Brazil. Brian Ganon of Argentina is currently in pole position for the title. He came into the day 24th in the counts, but made his way up them by catching cards and asserting pressure on his opponents. Ganon took down a four-bet pot early on in the day. He opened to 17,000 from the cutoff with the blinds at 4,000/8,000, and was three-bet by Roger on the button, who made it 52,000. Ganon then came back with 117,000. Roger called.

Ganon led for 46,000 on 2 K 5 , Roger called. He led again, this time for 136,000 on the 7 . Roger deployed a timebank before relinquishing his hand into the muck, and the pot to Ganon. He kept on chipping up, this time taking from Lucas. At the 5,000/10,000 level, Ganon flatted the button against a 20,000 open from Lucas in middle position. Lucas led for 18,000 on the 3 K 6 flop, Ganon called. Lucas barrelled again on the K turn, this time sizing up to 47,000. Ganon called again. The 10 river saw Lucas slow down with a check. Ganon then fired 100,000 into the middle. Lucas tanked for a moment before flicking in the call. He had the worst of it, and Ganon scooped another sizable pot.

Ganon was also responsible for bursting the final table bubble, as he sent Pietro Umberto to the rail with pocket eights. Umberto jammed 280,000 with the blinds at 25,000/50,000 with 7 6 from the button, and Ganon called in the small blind with 8 8 . The 2 5 K J 5 runout was clean, and the final table was confirmed.
