Michael Mizrachi Wins His Ninth Bracelet In The $10K PLO Championship ($1,350,203)

Exactly one year ago, Michael Mizrachi won the $50K Poker Players Championship. He then went on to win the WSOP Main Event, and last night he added another trophy to his collection.

Mizrachi led the tournament from Day 1. He entered three-handed play with 161 big blinds, while his two opponents had a combined 40 big blinds.

In his winner’s interview, Mizrachi joked that he wanted a change of pace, so he decided to win a PLO tournament.

Over his 14-year career, Higgins has won nine WSOP Circuit rings and earned more than $3 million in WSOP and WSOP Circuit events alone. This is his first seven-figure score.

In his winner’s interview, Higgins said he had a feeling he was going to win the tournament. He also shared that the victory meant a lot to him after losing around $300,000 since November.

The event featured seven games: Big O, No-Limit Hold’em, No-Limit 2-7 Lowball, PLO8, Pot-Limit Five-Card Double Draw High, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw.

Before this victory, Smith had already finished runner-up twice, third twice, fourth once, seventh once, and ninth once at the WSOP. Last night, he finally broke through for his first bracelet.
