Tang started the final table as the chip leader, but in 7-max he dropped to 6.5 BB after one hand.

Effective stack: 24 BB.
• Preflop: Wang Ye opened from UTG with A J , Tang 3-bet from the SB with K Q , Ye called.
• Flop 2 6 10 — Tang bet 4.25 BB into a pot of 16 BB, Ye called.
• Turn A — Tang bet 6.5 BB, Ye called.
• River 8 — Tang check-folded.

Tang was left with just 6.5 BB in his stack. He became the short stack, but luck was on his side that day.

In one hand, Tang doubled up with AKs vs AQo against Sturm in a 12 BB pot.
Then he doubled again with AJs vs QTs against Roiter in a 25 BB pot.

In 4-max, Tang doubled with QJs vs JTo against Sturm on a board of 4QKQ5 in a 23 BB pot.

While Tang was trying to stay afloat, Roiter was eliminating opponents. The field went from 4-max to heads-up in just two hands:

• AKo > QQ against Sturm, 45 BB pot.

• In the next hand, on a board of 732K3, Roiter triple-barreled KJo with all-in on the river, while Ye hero-called with T7o in a 61 BB pot.

Roiter started heads-up with 83 BB, while Tang had 16 BB. The duel lasted an hour, and the deck continued favoring Tang. In the third hand, he doubled with 77 vs K7o and moved up to 27 BB. Later, Tang doubled again: AJo > A4o in a 59 BB pot. Watch the final hand on Twitter.
