Strange ending in inaugural ladies pro tour event
By Erik Sylven

Since one of the players, Teresa Sanchez, wasn't able to stay and see the final table through, play was stopped and the current chip leader was declared winner. The chip leader was - Teresa Sanchez.
According to the original plan, the final table was to be played on Monday, but since Teresa Sanchez had to leave early, a decision was made to end the $550 No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament at the Bicycle Casino on Sunday night instead.
There wasn't enough time to play a final table either, however, and with three players left in the tournament, a chop according to chip count was made with chip leader Teresa Sanchez declared winner.
The mother of four from Bakersfield, Calif., took home the first ever LPPT event and $18,200 in prize money. Runner-up Val Brieman received $10,456, and third place finisher Linda Thiele got $5,460 for her efforts.
