Canuck to represent Titan at WPS

One of Titan Poker's golden boys will be taking the trip to the World Poker Showdown Ocean World after taking down yet another Super Satellite at the online room.

The tournament will take place in the Dominican Republic in in May 2008 with Cory Tymich representing Titan Poker. The 34-year-old poker-player from Surrey, B.C., in Canada is no stranger to Super Satellites and has gone "3 for 3" while playing them on Titan. During these qualifying tournaments Tymich has never played and not won. In fact, on Feb. 3, Tymich actually won twice.

Tymich has previously represented Titan Poker in Las Vegas at the 2007 Pokerface Touranment and at the South African Poker Open in February 2008.

When asked what inspired him to enter the satellite Tymich had a simple answer.

"My wife wanted a vacation," he said.

Tymich's entire family is enjoying the travel time as he is currently in South Africa for the poker open with his wife and five-year-old daughter.

In addition to his WPS Ocean World Tournament accomplishment he also finished 3rd place in the $200,000 guaranteed prize tournament and won a cool $16,000.

Playing at Titan Poker has been extremely profitable for Tymich, especially considering he's only played their since August 2006.

Tymich's prize package to the WPS Ocean World event is worth a total of $9,000. This package includes his flights and travel costs, accommodations for seven nights as well as all meals, drinks snacks and, of course, a seat in the main event wroth $2,650 and spending money.
