$1 for $1,000,000 Tournament
The $1 for $1,000,000 tournament is by far the most notable tournament of the Summer Festival on WPT Global. A $1 million guarantee is usually only offered in tournaments with at least triple-digit buy-ins. But WPT Global is offering this insane guarantee for a buy-in of just $1. The provider is expecting an overlay of over $900,000. That means this tournament is, in effect, an enormous freeroll.
The $1 for $1 Million tournament gives everyone, regardless of their bankroll, a chance to play the biggest online poker event on WPT Global for one dollar. There are starting flights running for the next week, with scheduled times to suit most time zones. Day 2 and the final will then be played on August 21 and 22.

Main Event and Bounties Championship Start This Week
Four more tournaments of the WPT Global Summer Festival will start this week and they have a lot to offer.
Summer Progressive Bounties Championship
The Summer Progressive Bounties Championship runs from August 8-14 and guarantees a prize pool of $300,000 for a $220 buy-in. There are multiple flights each day and the tournament uses the best stack forward principle. This allows players to participate in multiple starting flights, even if they have already made it to the second day in one of the flights. If you make it to the second day in several starting flights, you will continue playing with the best stack. 20 percent of all players in each flight make it to the final, which takes place this Sunday.
A mini-edition of this tournament will run in parallel with a buy-in of $11 and a $20,000 prize guarantee.
Main Event with $1,000,000 gtd.
On August 14, the Main Event of the Summer Festival will start. This has a buy-in of $330 and guarantees $1,000,000. There are numerous starting flights until August 20 and again the best stack forward principle takes effect. Day 2 of the tournament will be played on August 21 and the final is scheduled for August 22.
Running in parallel is the Mini Main Event with a buy-in of $33 and a guarantee of $100,000.
