Here is everything there is to know so far.
2026 WPT Prime Cyprus Postponed Indefinitely
The WPT Prime Cyprus was originally scheduled to start tomorrow, March 5 and run until March 9 at the at Chamada Prestige Hotel & Spa, Cyprus. However, the ongoing military campaign in Iran launched by the United States and Israel on Saturday, February 28, has forced the poker operator to suspend its Cyprus stop for a later date.
In their official announcement, the World Poker Tour said that the ongoing conflict has impacted travel plans, as flight restrictions have been put into place for the time being. As the conflict is developing, hosting the live tournament in Cyprus, an Eastern Mediterranean island around just 1,000 miles from Iran’s capital, is not safe at the moment.
As we wait on further information from WPT, the organization has assured players that the remaining festival events will go ahead as planned, with the Cyprus leg pushed to a further date. PokerListings will be updating this story as it develops.
