The Irish Poker Open 2026 Is Officially Here!

Today is one of the those days you circle bright red on the European poker calendar because March 26 marks the day the Irish Poker Open 2026 officially begins. Just like last year, PokerListings will be on the casino floor, following and reporting on everything from the opening flights through to the final table.

Before the 24/7 poker chaos kicks off today, here’s a little refresher of what the 2026 edition has in store.

An IPO 2026 Refresher

The Irish Open is returning to the Royal Dublin Society from March 26 to April 6 with more than 80 tournaments crammed into the schedule. The most coveted one is, of course, the returning €2.5 million guaranteed Main Event. Opening flights begin on Wednesday, April 1 and continue until the end of the week, April 5, while the buy-in remains unchanged at €1,150.

The other two headliners of the 2026 edition are the The Mini Irish Open (€1 GTD) and The Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty (€1M GTD), with flights for the latter starting as early as today, March 26.

Of course, there’s more in store for 2026 than just the headliners. As far as formats go, players are looking at everything from classic NLHE to Big O and Sviten Special, to 8-Game, HORSE, and NLH Heads-Up brackets. The Irish Poker Open is also playing host to a number of community-driven events, including:

  • The Kings and Queens gender-split event
  • The Deaf Poker NLH and PLO Championships
  • The Old Dogs and Young Pups tag-team format
