Spins, Drops and Pumpkins: Social Casinos Go Big With Halloween Promos

We all knew it was coming at some point. It’s the middle of October, which means Halloween is close enough for social casinos to do what social casinos do best: put pumpkins, ghosts, witches and vaguely menacing promotions absolutely everywhere.

Like with all seasonal promotions, it’s a selection — some are just pushing their spookiest slots to the front of the lobby, while others are building their Halloween promotions around drops, wheels and social-media competitions.

Zula, Pulsz and McLuck are already knee deep into the spookiest season, so it’s only fair we take a look at what they have to offer.

Zula Is Doing Halloween for the Entire Month

Zula is the one got a head start on its competition.

Its Daily Zulaween Drops promotion runs from October 1 through October 31, with a fresh 700 SC prize pool every day. That works out to 21,700 SC across the month, with 37 players receiving Prize Drops each day.

This is how it works on a daily basis:

  1. Switch to SC mode.
  2. Play one of the qualifying games.
  3. Prize Drops appear randomly during active play.
  4. When one lands, the reward is credited directly to the balance.

The daily split looks like this:

1025 SC
2510 SC

There is no rollover if a day’s prizes are not claimed; the pool resets at noon (EDT) and starts again.

Titles including Sun of Egypt 5, Lucky Apple x1000, Black Wolf 2, Super Sticky Piggy and 3 Super Hot Chillies are all on the qualifying list, alongside a much larger batch you can check out directly at their casino.

Pulsz Has Drops, Hallo-Wins and a Weekend Wheel

Unlike Zula, Pulsz didn’t put all its Halloween eggs into one basket.

The biggest themed promotion currently running is Death Drops and Hallo-Wins, which carries a combined prize pool of 3 million Gold Coins and 15,000 Sweeps Coins this week. Players take part through qualifying games, with leaderboard action and additional SC Drops forming part of the promotion.

Then there is the Hallo-Wheel, which is much closer to the Weekend Super Spinner we told you about a few weeks ago — players get a spin on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the wheel handing out Creepy Coins, Spooky Spins and Devilish Deals.

McLuck Went for Halloween Across Socials

McLuck went in a completely different direction. Rather than doing one large Halloween campaign, a major part of its seasonal activity is happening through competitions across its social media.

The most recent competition we could find was Giga Match Sugar Skull, which asked followers to complete a missing-symbol pattern. Ten winners got GC 40,000 + Free SC 20, with entries submitted through the comments.

The one from last week used Fish Tales Halloween for a spot-the-difference challenge, again offering 10 prizes of GC 40,000 + Free SC 20.

For those of you disinterested in constantly refreshing your socials, we’d suggest trying out Gold Coin Jackpot, a more permanent McLuck fixture that’s always running in the background. We recently covered how that works in our article, including its four progressive jackpot tiers.

Stake.US Hasn’t Put a Pumpkin on Everything — Yet

Stake.us is the odd one out so far. As of mid-October, the social casino hasn’t been pushing any Halloween promotion in the way Zula, Pulsz, or McLuck’s have.

That said, Stake.us has been keeping busy during October. The Stake Showdown made its debut this month and will be running through the end of the year, with an SC100,000 guaranteed main event and a qualification ladder that starts from SC0.50.
