In his winner’s interview, Deeb said his goal is to pass Phil Hellmuth’s record of 17 WSOP bracelets.

Ironically, this was already the 18th bracelet heads-up match of Deeb’s career. If he had won every one of them, he would already be ahead of Hellmuth. Instead, he’s now 9-9 in bracelet heads-up matches.

His previous three bracelet heads-up matches all ended in defeat. In Rozvadov, his opponents even hit quads against him twice.
