The final table of the first-ever $8K Triton One Main Event turned out to be very dynamic. Why did Artur Martirosyan decide to make a 6-bet shove with A3s, and what do you need to eat to lock up seven-figure scores? We cover it in this article.
Punnat Punsri eliminates most of his opponents at the final table
Sergei Petrushevskii finished in 9th place. In the very first hand of the final table with an effective stack of 23.5 BB, Petrushevskii picked up AKo while Punsri had AA. Petrushevskii 3-bet preflop, Punsri called. The flop came K53 — there was no way the Russian could escape this one.

Artur Martirosian Commented on His 6-Bet Push with A3s: «My Brain Short-Circuited at the Key Moment»
At the very beginning of the final day, Artur Martirosian showed incredible survival skills. At one point, he was down to 4 BB but managed to win several all-ins. Ultimately, in his last hand, Martirosian 6-bet shoved for 46.5 BB preflop with A3s, and Punsri called with AKo.

Artur commented on the hand in his blog:
«Oh, everything was going so well, and then my brain short-circuited at the crucial moment. I fixated on the fact that in similar spots he had played AA through calls. In theory, his value range expansion here is mostly AA and rarely AKs, KK (because given the chips already in the pot, it’s better for him to take it down without showdown than to flip with 67%).
But the bluff range is questionable. Punnat plays aggressively preflop, but when it comes to 5-bets at a final table with this lineup, I have doubts. And the expansion with AKo doesn’t work in my favor (which I couldn’t know).
Overall, I’m not happy I didn’t fold to the 5-bet (4-betting against this specific opponent is very profitable and should be done 100% of the time).
GG, it was a close race, and it’s painful to spin it up like that and then bust in such a dumb spot. I agree I played it suboptimally, but I’m not a robot, these things happen sometimes + at least it wasn’t a stone-dead shove.»
Joshua Gebissa Qualified for Triton One Through QQPK Satellite and Made a Deal Heads-Up with Punnat Punsri
Punsri eliminated another opponent at the final table in 5th place — Zhuo Dajie. Effective stack = 45 BB. Punsri opened AJo on the BTN, Daiki Shingae defended the SB with A7o, and Zhuo Daye defended the BB with KJo. The board came J52 — all the chips of the Chinese player ended up in the middle.
At the start of 4-max, Punsri held half of all the chips in play — 133 BB. His three opponents combined had the same amount. At that point, Joshua Gebissa was the shortest with 30 BB. But Punsri gave away his advantage when Daiki Shingae bluffed off his stack against him and Punsri called with only two pairs (watch this incredible hero call from 6:21:07):
The Japanese player eventually finished in 3rd place.

Joshua Gebissa had a plan for this final table and it worked out perfectly:
«I would like to see how the table played and then be patient and pick the right spots. People just busted each other and I didn’t need to do much.»
Heads-up began with Punsri holding 129 BB and Gebissa 35 BB. The two agreed to a deal. Punsri received *$1,205,775; Gebissa — *$920,225. They left $55K + the trophy to play for. After two more hours of play, Gebissa secured the win.

What Do You Need to Eat to Be as Skilled and Lucky as Punnat Punsri?
For the past two months, Punnat Punsri has been on a heater. In addition to his deep run at Triton One, he earned $950K at EPT Barcelona:
- $69,283 — 8th place €25K NLH
- $371,915 — 6th place €100K NLH Super High Roller
- $404,212 — 2nd place €25K NLH
- $99,204 — 1st place €10K NLH Mystery Bounty
- $5,198 — 388th place €1,650 PokerStars Open Main Event
Punsri shared his ritual in Instagram Stories a couple of days ago. Together with friends, he orders several boxes of wings, chicken strips, and Coke.

Maybe that’s what brings him luck. Try it yourself (just make sure to wash your hands before playing: touching cards and chips with greasy fingers is -EV and -luck).
