Jeff Gross and Ali Nejad Join Team GGPoker

Jeff Gross and Ali Nejad Join Team GGPoker

This week GGPoker introduced two new members of its GGTeam - Jeff Gross and Ali Nejad. Both will represent the world's largest online poker room both live and online in the future.

Jeff Gross gets the role Voice of GGPoker and Ali Nejad becomes GGPoker Media Ambassador. The two join other GGPoker brand ambassadors such as Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Jason Koon and Fedor Holz. According to GGPooker, the ambassadors' mission is to create new content that will appeal to new communities of players and help grow the game of poker - such as via streams or live events.

Jeff Gross

Podcaster and Streamer Jeff Gross

Jeff Gross was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and these days he lives in several residences, including Miami, Las Vegas, and Brazil. Gross started playing poker at the age of 14 and has earned more than $5 million in tournaments during his career. In the process, he has reached seven WSOP final tables so far. First and foremost, however, Jeff Gross is an avid podcaster and streamer and one of the biggest poker streamers on Twitch.

Ali Nejad

Commentator Legend Ali Nejad

Californian Ali Nejad is arguably the most famous poker broadcaster in the world. He became known for shows like Poker After Dark, the National Heads-Up Poker Championship, the World Series of Poker on ESPN, and broadcasts of the World Poker Tour - all of which Nejad has commentated behind the camera. Most recently, Ali Nejad has hosted the Triton Super High Roller tournaments, both commentating on the live action and interviewing the players.

Jeff Gross, who was still a PokerStars ambassador until 2019, is excited about the new collaboration, "I am thrilled to be joining GGPoker. It’s an amazing time right now for poker and GG is leading the way. I am looking forward to being a brand ambassador as well as hosting the best tournament on the internet; the weekly $10,300 Super MILLION$, with final tables broadcast every Tuesday!"

Daniel Negreanu, who has been a Global Ambassador for GGPoker for a long time now, is excited to welcome Gross and Nejad to Team GG: "GGPoker is the world’s biggest online poker room, but that doesn’t mean we’re not focused on growing even bigger! Adding two of poker’s best contest-creating personalities to the GGTeam means we’ll better entertain our existing customers while broadening the game to reach new ones."

The news of Gross and Nejad joining Team GGPoker comes at a time when GGPoker appears to be cutting ties with a former brand ambassador. After Dan Bilzerian made disparaging remarks about poker players in a podcast ("They are fucking nerds!"), his profile picture disappeared from the site and it seems the online poker giant is done with the self-proclaimed king of Instagram. Gross and Nejad are definitely good reinforcements for GGPoker.
