Everything You Need to Know About WSOP Express on GGPoker

The World Series of Poker is many things — prestigious, iconic, life-changing — but what it hasn’t always been is accessible. GGPoker is hoping to change that with WSOP Express, a new satellite ladder that lets you turn a 50-cent buy-in into a five-figure tournament package. The system is now live, running continuously on GGPoker, and offers three types of high-value Passes that can be used at WSOP Ring events, bracelet events, or the luxurious WSOP Paradise.

Unlike previous step satellites, WSOP Express isn’t just about climbing the ladder — it’s about letting players choose how they climb it. Whether you start from the ground up or skip steps using direct buy-ins, the endgame is the same: a ticket to the biggest tournaments in poker, plus travel expenses. Here’s how it all works.

The Basics: What Is WSOP Express?

WSOP Express is a progressive, multi-stage satellite system with a few twists. It has four main Steps, starting from just $0.50 and culminating in a $150 Step 4 tournament. At the end of the road, players can claim:

  • Ring Pass – worth $5,000
  • Bracelet Pass – worth $10,000
  • Super Pass – worth $30,000

Each Pass includes a buy-in for a major WSOP event and a travel expense component. There’s also flexibility—multiple Passes of the same type can be combined or used across various WSOP events.

The system also includes premium qualifiers for players who prefer to bypass the early grind and buy in directly at the higher levels.

A Word From Daniel Negreanu:

Daniel Negreanu

WSOP Express is one of the coolest innovations I’ve seen in online poker. It gives everyone a real shot at playing in the biggest events. You don’t need to be rich, just sharp and determined.

Step-by-Step: The WSOP Express Ladder

Step 1: $0.50 All-In or Fold Sit & Go (4-max, 3 stacks)

  • Format: Fast-paced, 4-player Sit & Go
  • Structure: Players get 3 stacks (i.e., 3 lives)
  • Prize: Only the winner advances with a Step 2 ticket
  • Negreanu says: Use the first stack to study opponents. It’s not just about luck—each “life” is a chance to outplay the table.

Step 2: $2 Spin & Gold (6-max)

  • Format: Spin & Gold with a randomized prize wheel
  • Prize: Most land a Step 3 ticket, but big spins can award direct Passes or Step 4 tickets
  • Negreanu says: Play solid 6-max strategy—tighten up against loose players, steal from the button, and don’t let the wheel distract you from playing smart.

Step 3: $10 Target Stack Tournament (Turbo)

  • Format: Turbo tournament with a twist—you don’t need to win the event, just hit a target chip stack
  • Prize: Hit the target, win a Step 4 ticket immediately
  • Negreanu says: This isn’t a traditional tournament. Play aggressively early and go for the target stack before blinds get too high.

Step 4: $150 Regular Tournament

  • Format: Traditional MTT with a strategic decision at the end
  • Choose your path:
    • Pass Path: Directly claim your Pass
    • Bracelet Step Path: Enter $1,000 qualifier
    • Super Step Path: Enter $2,500 qualifier
  • Negreanu says: First-timers should consider locking in a guaranteed Pass. Grinders chasing value may opt for one more shot at a bigger package.

Premium Qualifiers: Skip the Steps

For players with bigger bankrolls or less patience, GGPoker offers direct buy-ins into:

  • $1,000 Bracelet Step: 1 in 11 win a $10K Bracelet Pass
  • $2,500 Super Step: 1 in 13 win a $30K Super Pass

These qualifiers are more traditional in structure and run weekly. They don’t require Step 4 tickets and offer better odds of hitting the big time without playing through every stage.

Daily Step 0 Ticket: Play for Free

Even if you’re not ready to spend anything, GGPoker gives you a free Step 0 ticket just for logging in daily. That ticket gets you into Step 1 without spending a dime. From there, the ladder begins.

Passes Explained: What Do You Win?

Once you reach the end of the WSOP Express journey, you’ll receive a Pass. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Ring Pass ($5,000) – Entry into a WSOP Circuit event + expenses
  • Bracelet Pass ($10,000) – Entry into any $10K WSOP event, including the Main Event
  • Super Pass ($30,000) – WSOP Paradise Super Main Event buy-in + deluxe travel & accommodation

Passes are flexible—they can be used for different events and sometimes even the next day after you win them. More package details will be revealed soon, but they already include more than just a seat at the table.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Depending on your budget and playing style, there are three main routes through WSOP Express:

RouteProsCons
The Complete Journey (50¢ → Step 4 → Pass)Lowest cost, tests all-round skillLongest path, high variance
Flexible Ladder (Buy in at Steps 2–3)Time-money balance, skips early stepsHigher cost, still multiple stages
Premium Bypass ($1K or $2.5K buy-in)Best odds, quick accessHigh cost, tougher competition

All Aboard the Express

WSOP Express is now live on GGPoker and running continuously. Whether you start with 50 cents or jump straight into a $1,000 qualifier, all roads lead to the same place: a seat in a prestigious WSOP live event, possibly alongside poker’s biggest names.

GGPoker WSOP Express 2025

From micro-stakes grinders to serious tournament pros, the system is designed to reward skill, smart planning, and a little bit of run-good. It’s poker’s biggest stage—with a few more access points.
