David Coleman Wins Final Event of US Poker Open For $420,000

David Coleman closed out the US Poker Open by winning Event #10 $25,000 NLH for a score of $420,000. The high-stakes pro’s victory came after he max late regged the event and spun up his stack. Coleman has been on a great run; he won his first WSOP bracelet and Triton title in December of 2025 at WSOP Paradise, winning the $125K NLH 7-Handed Triton Event for a career-best score of $3,113,000, adding to four runner-up finishes at EPT Barcelona last August. Coleman has been prolific at PGT events, having scored 57 cashes throughout his career. Here is how the action unfolded as Coleman topped the 48-strong field.

How It Started

Coleman led the returning 7 players, and Kristen Foxen was his closest competitor. She was looking for her second title of the series, having won Event #4 $10,000 for $198,000. Richard Green filled the final podium spot, and the chasing pack consisted of high-stakes regulars. Darren Elias, GPI Player of the Year Jesse Lonis sat in 4th and 5th. Cherish Andrews, who was also looking for a second title and the Player of the Series title, was in 6th, and Ebony Kenney was the clear short-stack in 7th.

Early Double For Elias and Kenney

Elias got his final table underway by doubling through Foxen. He called a Foxen four-bet all in with Q Q . Foxen had 8 8 . No miracles were found on the 9 7 K 10 2 runout and Elias chipped up. Kenney was given a lifeline courtesy of Lonis. She was all in for 3 big blinds and change with K 7 against Lonis’s A 8 . She made a flush across the 3 2 7 5 8 runout to secure a crucial double up. However, she couldn’t go 2-2 in the all-in department. She was put all in by Coleman, who opened from the button. Kenney ran her K 6 against his Q 5 from the big blind. Coleman turned a queen across the 9 J A Q 5 to eliminate Kenney.

Back-to-Back Doubles For Andrews, Can’t Keep Momentum

Andrews doubled twice in quick succession to climb back up the counts. If she won the title, she would be the Player of the Series, usurping her boyfriend Brock Wilson at the top of the leaderboard. She doubled through Elias, having three-bet to 175,000 from the small blind against his button open. With the blinds at 20,000/40,000, Elias made the call with 10 10 . However, Andrews made trips with K 8 across the 5 3 K 7 K runout.

All her chips found the middle again, this time against Kristen Foxen, a few hands later. Andrews opened A J from the cutoff, Foxen defended the big blind with Q 4 . Andrews three-bet all in on the wet flop of A 2 3 , and Foxen obliged. Andrews faded the wheel and flush outs of Foxen, making trips on the A turn and the 4 proving safe. It wasn’t all plain sailing for Andrews, as Coleman picked off a bluff from Andrews as he made top pair on a king-high board to deny Andrews adding more chips to her stack. Andrews was then next out, having opened 4 4 from under the gun. She had Coleman as a customer from the cutoff. Andrews put her final 135,000 into the middle, having checked to Coleman, who bet 130,000 on K 10 9 . Unfortunately for Andrews, Coleman had K Q , and the 7 J turn, and the river meant she would not be the Player of the Series winner.

Lonis Next Out, Foxen Applying Pressure

Lonis was next to fall, with Coleman claiming another scalp. Lonis jammed just under 10 big blinds from the small blind with A 3 , and Coleman made the call in the big blind with 5 5 . The 8 K 4 9 2 was aceless, and Lonis was left without chips. Foxen executed a three-bet bluff on the river versus Coleman. She defended the big blind with A 8 versus Colemans button open with 10 5 . Both checked the 6 9 5 flop, before the A turn was checked around. Foxen bet 165,000 on the 10 river before Coleman made it 575,000 to go. Foxen then put in the three-bet to 1,200,000, prompting Coleman to dip into the time bank reserve. Ultimately, he folded his two pair. Foxen then took the lead before doubling up Green, who had aces against her ace-nine offsuit.

Elias Chips Up Then Busts

Elias doubled through Foxen, as he flopped two pair with 10 9 against Foxen’s A K . The money went in on the Q 10 9 flop. Foxen turned the A but she couldn’t make a stronger hand on the 2 river. He then won another pot from Foxen, making two pair with J 3 across J 9 9 A 6 which saw both players check the river. Elias was eliminated by Coleman. Elias three-bet jammed A 6 versus Coleman’s button open with A 9 . Coleman’s kicker played across the 4 5 10 4 7 runout to send Elias to the rail.

Green doubled through Coleman, as the latter jammed into him with J 4 . Green woke up with A Q and made two pair across the 6 6 7 Q 4 . However, his next all-in spelt the end of his tournament life. He was all in against Coleman again, this time with K Q . Coleman had him dominated and covered with A 9 . Coleman made two pair across the 9 4 3 A J to take play heads-up.

Heads-Up, Coleman Bluffs Foxen

Foxen had a mountain to climb if she was to claim her second title of the series, coming into heads-up trailing by a 6:1 chip deficit. Her challenge wasn’t helped by being bluffed off trips by Coleman. He limped in with 6 3 and Foxen checked her option with Q 2 . The K J Q flop was checked around before Foxen bet 120,000 on the 6 turn with the blinds at 40,000/80,000. Coleman made the call. Foxen then bet 250,000 on the Q river. Coleman then put Foxen all in for 750,000. She deployed multiple time banks before mucking her hand. She then doubled with A 2 against 8 5 , with her ace-high being good across the K 3 6 10 3 . She was then eliminated on the next hand. Foxen’s 10 10 were bested by Coleman’s Q 8 across the Q 9 J Q 4 runout to give Coleman trip queens and the title.
