Daniel Dvoress Continues His Incredible Run With Another Triton Victory

Alex Theologis Closes the Circle and Finally Wins a Triton Trophy ($642K)

The Triton Jeju II series started on September 4 with the $15K NLH 8-Handed tournament.

Alex “Pwndidi” Theologis was determined to win. At the final table bubble, he cracked Bernhard Binder’s aces in a 30 BB pot. In fourth place, he also knocked out Kiat Lee from behind: A8s > ATs, with an eight on the flop, for a 32 BB pot.

Theologis entered heads-up against Victor Chong. In one of the most important hands, Theologis bluffed Chong.

The effective stack was 19.5 BB in a limped pot. Theologis check-raised the flop. Both players checked the turn. On the river, Theologis bet 70% pot. Chong thought for about two minutes before making his river decision.

It was the first hand of heads-up play. They battled for another hour. Eventually, Chong was down to 2 BB and had to go with 74o against K8o — he won. In the next hand, he had 84o vs JTo — and lost.

Klemens Roiter Wins His First Triton Title After 88 Tournaments

Over two years on Triton, Roiter recorded 17 cashes, including 12 final tables.

His best result was a second-place finish in the $100K NLH Main Event at the previous series in Montenegro.

The only thing missing was a win. And finally, it came.

Roiter won the $20K NLH with 174 entries, beating Alejandro “PapoMC” Lococo heads-up.

Reuter won almost all of his chips in a hand with 72o. The effective stack was 27 BB.

Khoa Anh Ngo Beats Anatoly Filatov Heads-Up in the $25K NLH TITI POKER

A year and a half ago, Anatoly Filatov won this tournament — back then, WPT Global was the partner instead of TITI Poker.

This time, Khoa Anh Ngo took the title from him. Filatov got unlucky in the final hand.

Khoa Anh Ngo is a two-time Triton ONE champion. This is his first victory on the regular Triton Super High Roller circuit.

Alex “ale6ka” Boika Wins His First Triton Trophy

Boika won the $25K NLH 8-Handed and received $761K — far from the biggest cash of the series (there were two $1.3M payouts), but it was his first Triton trophy.

He entered the final table with the second-biggest stack. In eighth place, he sent Vladas Tamasauskas to the rail: AQs > QQ, a 46 BB pot, with an ace on the turn.

In fourth place, he knocked out Nevan Chang: QQ > 66, an 8 BB pot.

In third place, it was Lei Yu. The Chinese player shoved JTo from the SB, Boika called with AQo from the BB, and the pot was 48 BB.

Boika started heads-up with 56 BB against Philip Sternheimer, who had 32 BB. The final hand was attached to the post. The effective stack was 26.5 BB. On the turn, Boika took some time to think because he misread his hand: he thought he had made two pair.

Daniel Dvoress Wins His Seventh $30K NLH 8-Handed Title

Dan Dvoress and Xuan Liu knocked out almost the entire final table between them:

Ben Tollerene finished eighth: AJs vs QQ from Dvoress for a 41 BB pot.

Lun Loon finished seventh: A9o vs QQ from Liu for a 28 BB pot.

Jingyao Yan finished sixth: AKo vs ATo from Dvoress for a 36 BB pot, with a ten on the turn.

Stephen Chidwick finished fifth — the only player eliminated by neither Dvoress nor Liu. He lost a coin flip with AKo vs JJ against Gytis Lazauninkas for a 19.5 BB pot.

Lin Meng-Ling finished fourth: she ran 99 vs K8s against Dvoress for a 19 BB pot, with a king on the flop. By the way, this was Lin’s first Triton event. It was also her first cash in five tournaments.

Gytis Lazauninkas finished third: he ran QQ vs ATs against Dvoress for a 36 BB pot, with an ace and a flush draw for Dvoress on the flop.

Heads-up lasted one hand.

Kiat Lee Wins Two Four-Way All-Ins on His Way to the $40K NLH 7-Handed Mystery Bounty Title

On the direct bubble, Lee had less than 10 BB in his stack, but managed to double up with AJo vs K3o against Jamil Wakil.

Then Lee went on an incredible run that he may never have experienced before. Watch one of the hands on Twitter:

A couple of hands later, Lee knocked out three more opponents.

As a result, he entered the final table with 110 BB, or 70% of all the chips.

However, Lee lost the lead during the final table, scored another knockout, and reached heads-up with 18 BB against Jamil Wakil, who had 89 BB after doubling through Lee on the bubble.

In the first hand of heads-up play, Lee doubled up again with 66 vs 98s, making a set on the flop.
