600 WSOP 2023 $10,000 Main Event Seats Guaranteed at GGPoker

The poker world seems awash with money which, for everyone involved in the game, from seasoned pros to ambitious hobbyists, is of course a very good thing. Combine the prospect of getting our hands on a life-changing sum of money with the prestige and status that comes with winning a major global event, and we have the ultimate dream scenario of all players: glory at the World Series of Poker...

The richest, longest-running and most prestigious poker series, the WSOP is the Big Daddy of all things poker, being the original and (arguably still) the most respected benchmark there is. We might barely have started February, but the recent announcement of the daily event schedule for WSOP 2023 is big news, not least because nowadays this extravaganza is accessible to all via the countless opportunities real money online poker brings in the form of great value qualifiers (see below).

So, here’s what every poker fan with an ounce of ambition can now put in their diary: the 54th annual WSOP will return to the Las Vegas Strip at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 30 to July 18, 2023. The $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em World Championship - the Main Event – will run between 3-17 July. Over the years the gargantuan festival has broken numerous records, and this year promises to be the more of the same, with more tables, more variety and more bracelet events ever scheduled.

Welcome to Las Vegas.

Ironically, if you’ve never even set foot in an actual Bricks & Mortar poker room, and your entire poker experience consists - as it is for the vast majority around the world - only of the online version, then you’re in a great position to win your way to Las Vegas. This is because our partner operator GGPoker happens to have an exclusive collaboration with the WSOP, and this year the numbers are astounding.

It doesn’t matter how (in)experienced you are as far as online poker tournaments are concerned, as poker does, after all, give everyone a chance to succeed (Incidentally, for those of you who thus far have stuck to Texas Hold'em or Omaha cash, or Sit & Go games, check out our Pokerlistings Simple Guide to Poker MTT Strategy: Level 1 to Final Table for some pointers). In a massive undertaking that will see a marathon of online satellites that will start in March and continue through the run-up to the WSOP, there will be 500 guaranteed Main Event seats on GGPoker.com offered, plus another 100 seats via the ClubGG.net subscription site. This equates to $6,000,000 worth of seats, which is more than double GGPoker’s official qualifiers from the 2022 series.

And what a year that was! The 8,663-player field in last year’s Main Event was the second-largest in WSOP history (following on from an also impressive 6,650 in 2021). After the smoke had cleared, Espen Jorstad of Norway became the 2022 WSOP Main Event winner, picking up a nice, round sum of $10,000,000 to add to his coveted bracelet.

Inspired? You absolutely should be!
