partypoker Overhauls Software, Offers New Title Fight Satellites

Players logging on to partypoker this week will be treated to a revamped software client with a plethora of new features.

First and foremost the new software offers a striking dark aesthetic, which is a marked change from the old white version. The change was made to make long sessions easier on players’ eyes.

Players will also benefit from improved game navigation and collapsable filters to view more game changes.

partypoker also updated the Sit & Hero lobby to differentiate between three and four-handed games.

The new software is already available for download for all players on Windows.

Phase 2 on the Horizon

While the changes to partypoker’s software are impressive, it’s really just the start with several more phases of updates in the works.

Phase 2 is scheduled to go live in the next quarter and will include the ability to view the lobby in full screen as well as better-looking tables and more customization options.

The new software is the result of collaboration between players and developers at partypoker.

“We acknowledge that our poker product needed some love,” said managing director of partypoker Tom Waters.

“We have been working on this project for a number of months with the support of a large group of players. We have been testing the phase 1 release over the past couple of weeks and the feedback from the players has been extremely encouraging. There are many more enhancements in the pipeline and I am confident that by the end of 2017 our players will be delighted with the improved look and feel and the usability of the software.”

Interestingly the updated software actually removed one feature: The one-click lobby.

Apparently the vast majority of players preferred viewing the full lobby and developers made the decision to streamline the entire experience.

New Satellites to $250k-GTD Title Fight

It’s a busy time for partypoker with the €1m-GTD German Poker Championships currently being held in Rozvadov and the brand-new software getting a global launch.

Non-stop partypoker action.

You can add one more ongoing promotion to partypoker this week with the launch of Title Fight phased satellites.

The $250,000-guaranteed Title Fight is partypoker’s flagship tournament that takes place every Sunday.

The event carries a rather significant $215 buy-in so partypoker is launching a series of phased satellites for players looking to get a seat on the cheap.

The new phased satellites start at $2.20 and run like normal satellites except that play ends at the end of 14 levels and players take their chips to the Title Fight Semi Final.

Make it through 15 levels of play in the Title Fight Semi Final and once again take all the chips in front of you to the Daily Final.

The Daily Final awards 10 seats to the $250k-GTD Title Fight. Simple as that.
