Jamie Gold, the new World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion, has been invited by the Game Show Network (GSN) to play in the next season of "High Stakes Poker."

The third season of "High Stakes Poker" will be taped in Las Vegas and would have Jamie Gold playing against some of the top professionals in the world in a $100,000 cash game where players use their own money to compete.

Gold, who won $12 million with his WSOP Main Event win and signed a two year deal with Bodog.com, would be joining the ranks of past competitors Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman, Phil Hellmuth, and more.

The complete field of players for the new season will be announced later along with the tape date and location.

Poker fans can catch the second season of "High Stakes Poker" which is airing Monday nights on GSN and, starting Sept. 18, audiences will again be able to view the first season on Monday nights.
