PokerListings.com has suspended the listing of Doyles Room because of a
legal dispute in connection with payments due to PokerListings for services
rendered.
We are aware that our decision not to list this brand may be an
inconvenience, but as a trusted guide and resource, we do not believe it is
appropriate to continue listing Doyles Room.
If you want to check out a poker room on the Cake Poker network (the same
network Doyles Room is on), we recommend Sportsbook Poker.
Original review
DoylesRoom started offering poker in 2004, and was very successful in attracting players with the endorsement of one of the most famous players in the world.
The bulk of those players were American, of course, so the passing of the UIGEA in 2006 was a hit to traffic volume.
Since then, the site has moved through a few different networks - off and on accepting U.S. players - before recently landing on the Cake poker network, which allows for U.S. players.
Because of that, DoylesRoom once again boasts decent traffic, a wide game variety and an extensive range of table limits.
The Cake network is also notorious for having very soft games and tons of fish at the tables, so the traffic can only be expected to rise. On top of that, DoylesRoom also offers plenty of promotions and the famous weekly bounty tournament in which Doyle himself plays, accompanied by his friends Mike Caro and Hoyt Corkins and his son Todd.
Games offered at DoylesRoom are Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Five-Card Draw and Five-Card Stud. Real money player statistics as of June 2009 show 2,000 ring-game players at peak hours, and 10,000 tournament players at peak hours.
