In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at George Danzer’s fourth WSOP bracelet, a PartyPoker resurgence and the World Series of Dogs.

1) Underrated Danzer Wins 4th Bracelet

Is there anyone that’s been as under-the-radar good as George Danzer over the last few years?

Last night the German locked up his fourth WSOP bracelet in the $10k Stud Hi-Lo Championship for $338,646.

He had to overcome a very tough final table that included Randy Ohel, Justin Bonomo, Todd Brunson and Eli Elezra.

Earlier this WSOP, Danzer also finished third in the $10k Seven-Card Stud event.

The man they call Tricky Scarfy has racked up well over $1.5m in live tournament earnings since 2014 including:

  • 4 WSOP bracelets
  • 8 WSOP final tables
  • 18 WSOP Cashes
  • 2014 WSOP POY

He’s just really, really good and plays all the games. He’s like a mythical fantasy poker beast.

2) PartyPoker Moves into Top 3 Traffic

There are a lot of poker players who still have a soft spot for PartyPoker.

Long-time PartyPoker ambassador Mike Sexton.

A large number of players built their bankrolls on the site in 2003-06 when it was booming.

Of course UIGEA happened and PartyPoker was forced to leave the market, forever changing the online poker landscape.

Over the last couple years, however, PartyPoker has been aggressively targeting recreational players and it seems to be paying off.

PartyPoker edged out the iPoker network to hit #3 in terms of traffic this week according to PokerScout, likely thanks in part to its Summer Grind promotion.

It's the first time in two years that PartyPoker has been ranked in the top three.

3) The World Series of Dogs Playing Poker

Humans are taking the back seat at the 2016 WSOP.

It feels like ever since Jason Mercier started winning everything with his trusty Marshmellow at his side we’ve seen a lot more dogs at the WSOP than usual.

Gotta love this one spotted by @BonaFideAnna:

Of course we’re still waiting on the interspecies event:
