WPT World Championship History

The victor, the Canadian poker player Eliot Hudon, walked away with over $4 million in winnings, etching his name into the halls of poker legends as he had beaten British poker pro Benny Glaser in a Heads-Up match.
Until that moment, Eliot Hudon had some pretty good stores to his name, but with $300,000 in total live career earnings at the poker tables, he took the moment that would change his life for good. The WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas is by a mile the greatest live poker event throughout the winter period, let alone from the whole year!
Who Will Be Sent to Las Vegas?
Once upon a time, PokerListings looked in their pockets and by coincidence they grabbed a golden ticket from it. When they took a better look, it was a ticket for the WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas, starting on the 12th of December 2023. It did not take long before they realised they could not keep it in their own hands, so they decided to reward a winner of a newly created super leaderboard competition called the PokerListings Vegas Series, having a total of eight tournaments, being held bi-weekly starting from August 17, on the poker client of WPT Global. Not only will the winner be rewarded with a remarkable package worth $12,400- the other 26 finalists will divide another $3,175 worth of tickets and merchandise among them.
Everything You Need to Know About the Vegas Series

The Vegas Series consists of 8 tournaments, being held twice a month on Thursdays at 20.00 CET, starting on the 17th of August. Everyone who is participating in any of the events is eligible to win their spot in the finals. The amazing setup makes it happen that everyone who reaches these finals, will be awarded a prize.
For every tournament of the Vegas Series, the final table contestants will be awarded points towards the leaderboard. Whoever is in the top 27 of the leaderboard after eight events, will qualify for the final round. All the tournaments will have a standard buy-in of $22 and the possibility to re-enter and to add on is active.
