PokerListings Operator Awards: Best Software Overall

Which poker operator provides the the most features, the neatest interface, and best software overall?

This Award is purely for outstanding software.
Who has the leanest interface, finest features, and greatest graphics right now?
For this category, we’ll award the poker operator with the best overall software solution for players.

And frankly, we only see two nominees here.
That doesn't mean the competition is not up to the task.
But GGPoker and PokerStars are simply that far advanced in terms of features and accessibility.

Nominees: Best Poker Software Overall

GGPoker Table

GGPoker had a breakthrough this year when they struck a deal with the WSOP to host the World Series of Poker Online, giving them a huge boost in brand recognition and player base. But all that would not have been possible without their strong and innovative software. GGPoker offers a rich variety of game modes (among others rush poker, spins, all-in-or-fold and 6+ Hold’em), unique features like staking or smart HUDs and integrated tracking tools. Overall GGPoker offers awesome features for grinders and recreational players alike.

PokerStars Table

PokerStars still is the benchmark when it comes to Online Poker Software. It has been for more than a decade and it is not by chance that all successful poker operators have copied most of the features PokerStars offers. Be it jackpot sit&gos, fast fold poker or re-entry-tourneys, virtually every modern online poker variation was introduced by PokerStars. While the software quality of the competitors slowly catches up to PokerStars (or in case of GGPoker is on the verge of overtaking), the online poker giant still offers an outstanding software.

How the Awards Process Works

The PokerListings editorial team has worked in the online poker business for decades and here we’re presenting the PokerListings Operator Awards - casting a spotlight on the most deserving in the business.

1. Nominations

Throughout the month of November, our PokerListings experts present the shortlisted nominees in 8 different categories: Best for Beginners, Best for Grinders, Best Online Series, Best Software, Most Improved, Innovation of the Year, Poker Operator of the Year, and finally the PokerListings Players' Favorite.

2. Voting

During this Nomination period in November all PokerListings players can vote for our 8th category: Your favorite poker operator of them all. You will find a wider selection of nominees than the other award categories for a better choice. And you can cast your vote (one per person) on our Facebook and Twitter channels. We'll provide results on both outlets as well as our Player Favorite page - along with the other category results.

3. Winners

After a long deliberation throughout this month, we will announce the winners on all our channels at the start of December (official date TBA). Our winners will also be contacted and provided with their badge of honor as this year's winners.
