WSOP Europe Introduces a Ladies Championship to the Prague Roaster

The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has been under a major renovation project ahead of its 2026 debut. The festival already announced it traded in the quiet village of Rozvadov for Prague at the end of last year and now more changes are under way. Last week, the WSOP announced the addition of an inaugural €1,000 Ladies Championship to its Prague schedule.

You can read what that’s going to look like and what players have to say right here!

A New Era for WSOP Europe

For years, critics of the WSOPE pointed to its location as a barrier for recreational to enter and create diverse player pools. Moving to the Czech capital from March 31 to April 12 is the first step in addressing that. The second is the actual 2026 schedule. WSOP took to X (formerly Twitter) last week to make the announcement:

The Ladies Championship is slated for Saturday, April 4, right as the festival’s massive €10,000,000 guaranteed Main Event begins. As WSOP CEO Ty Stewart put it:

Ty Stewart

As we enter a new era for WSOP Europe in Prague, it was essential that our schedule reflected the full spectrum of the poker community… We want this to be the definitive Ladies Event on the continent

What the Ladies Championship Is Going to Look Like

We know the when, the where and the guarantee. On top of that, to mark the occasion, the WSOP is introducing a unique gold bracelet specifically for this event. Unlike the standard bracelets awarded in the other 14 events of the series, the Ladies Championship version will feature a custom setting with additional gemstones.

WSOPE is obviously doing something right since interest for the event hasn’t been limited to poker circles so far. The first player to register was Mackenzie Dern, a UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion. The professional ranks are also coming out. Several elite pros and content creators have already confirmed their attendance, including:

  • Andrijana “Lijapoker” Gligoric (GGTeam)
  • Leo Margets (Spain)
  • Vanessa Kade (Canada)
  • Kitty Kuo (Taiwan)
  • Xuan Liu (Canada)
  • Shiina Okamoto (Japan)

With the move to Prague and now the inclusion of a dedicated Ladies Championship, the 2026 WSOPE seems determined to top the insane bar it set for itself for the 2026 season. PokerListings to be here to see whether or not that happens.
