On September 6th, 2026, the first “budget” Phil Nagy-branded Omaha tournament took place on the WPN network. The results were successful enough to warrant extending the experiment and making the tournament a regular part of the schedule. Let’s take a look.

Inaugural Mini Phil’s Thrill PLO Results
Phil Nagy’s first big tournament for Omaha players had 8-max size, a $2,650 buy-in and no guarantee. It drew 54 entries from 35 players, resulting in a total prize pool of $135,000.
The tournament was won by omahafyrarolls — winner of the Venom PLO in 2024, finalist of the Venom PKO PLO in 2025, May 2026 OSS champion, and PL40K regular on ACR Poker.

A total of 7 players received prizes:
| Place | Player | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | omahafyrarolls | $37,800 |
| 2 | Brian Hastings | $27,000 |
| 3 | Blessed33 | $21,600 |
| 4 | Tweetme | $16,875 |
| 5 | FundMyAudii | $13,500 |
| 6 | Likebuddahhh | $10,110.15 |
| 7 | SRNVSN | $8,114.85 |
Interestingly, this tournament attracted more players and generated more entries than the standard $2,650 Mini Phil’s Thrill running alongside it.
In that event, 29 players made a total of 36 entries, creating a $90,000 prize pool, yet only five players ultimately cashed:
- krissyb24! — $31,500
- OMGHilarious — $19,800
- jsmackers — $15,300
- osakei1024 — 12,600
- Justsomefish72 — $10,800
In fifth place, by the way, is Phil Nagy himself, who makes an effort to regularly participate in tournaments bearing his name.
