WPT Global Rocks the Poker World – Meet Up Game and Global Winter Series
WPT Global end the previous year with great satellites, and promotions, for the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas. This year, they are kicking it off massively! Jon ‘Apestyles’ Von Fleet: With nearly $900,000 in total live winnings in his almost 20-year live poker career, Jon has made quite the name for himself, and has his origins in Portland, Oregon. But live poker is not the place where he racketeered himself into the higher ranks of the game. Since 2006, he has gathered over $22M in cashes overall, including various SCOOP/WCOOP, titles, and has been the ambassador for WPT Global since November 2023. Besides his poker career, he has coached over a thousand poker players all around the world, has written several poker books, and is part of the BBZ Poker coaching community.
Liu Xuan: Originally from Tianjin, China, has won nearly $2 million in live tournaments, ranking among the top 20 women. She's the only woman to reach the final table at the PCA main event. Her poker career took off in 2011, with a notable third-place finish at the European Poker Tour San Remo. Although quieter after 2015, Xuan's impact on poker is significant, with several notable finishes such as her win during the WPT Fallsview in Niagara Falls, and recently covered many news pages when with her Road Trip Challenge in Canada. She is an ambassador for WPT Global.
Matthew Berkey: Matthew Berkey, born January 29, 1982, is an American professional poker player from Leechburg, Pennsylvania. He transitioned from a baseball aspiration to poker, earning over $4.3 million in live tournaments. Berkey founded the "Solve For Why" Poker Academy and co-established "Above The Felt Entertainment," a poker marketing agency. In 2023, he won a $1,029,700 heads-up match against NikAirball at Resorts World Las Vegas.
WPT Global Winter Series
WPT Global continues its winning streak and offers poker players from around the world an epic poker showdown at The WPT Global Winter Classic in collaboration with Pokerground Poker Club, where there's a massive $1,000,000 in guaranteed prizes up for grabs! The lineup includes a mind-blowing $500,000 guaranteed Main Event, a $200,000 guaranteed PG350 Mystery Bounty, and a thrilling $100,000 guaranteed High Roller, plus 15 more Championship Ring events.
