The Pick of The Online Microstakes Action This Weekend

The Pick of The Online Microstakes Action This Weekend

Grinders across the world will be taking to the virtual felts in an action-packed weekend of online poker action across all stakes. This article will focus on the highlights from GGPoker, PokerStars, and ACR, all of which come in at the $15 and under mark. Here is a detailed look at the tournament selection by site.

GGPoker

One of, if not the best, place to play microstakes tournaments, the world’s biggest poker site always has bumper guarantees available to players of all stakes, and this January is no exception. In continuation of its Winter Giveaway Series, GGPoker offers a range of tournaments with guaranteed prize pools of around $100,000+. Not only that, during the Winter Giveaway Series tournaments, GGPoker will add up to 5% to the final prize pool at the start of each event.

$15 Saturday Santa’s Secret KO [Mystery Bounty] $300,000 GTD

The pick of the bunch on GGPoker this weekend has to be the $15 Saturday Santa’s Secret KO [Mystery Bounty], purely based on the ridiculous guaranteed prize pool that has been set. It stands at a whopping $300,000, with half of the buy-in going into the Mystery Bounty prize pool and the other into the standard payouts. This means there will be a minimum of $150,000 that can be pulled from the virtual bounty chest, and a five-figure score will likely be the biggest available pull. Not only that, it is likely there will be a five-figure score for first place.

Blinds run for 8 minutes in duration, and registration will remain open for the first 2 hours and 25 minutes. The tournament starts at 6.05 p.m. GMT, 7.05 p.m. CET, and players will receive a stack worth 125 big blinds if they play from the beginning. Players have the option for unlimited re-entries, but of course, play responsibly.

gg poker bounty hunters tournaments

$15 Bounty Hunters Holiday Special $125,000 GTD

Bounty formats are generally where the biggest prize pools are seen in modern online poker, and that is no different with this bumper $125,000 guaranteed tournament. The $15 Bounty Hunters Holiday Special allows players the opportunity to battle for two halves of the prize pool in this progressive bounty tournament. Bounties start at $3.50 and will grow as players stack their opponents over the course of play. With these sorts of tournaments, it is best to get in early to give yourself a chance to claim as much of the prize pool as possible, as half of it is already on the table in bounties. It then allows you to develop your stack and claim further bounties, thus increasing your take-home. The structure of 12-minute levels is generous, and they will be reduced to 8-minute levels when registration closes at the end of Level 12, which is 2 hours and 30 minutes into play. The tournament starts at 3.30 p.m. GMT, and an hour later for those in Europe. Players have the option for unlimited re-entries, but of course, play responsibly.

GGPoker Weekly 100K Freerolls 2025

$100k Weekly Freeroll

Easily the most value found on any site this weekend is GGPoker’s weekly freeroll, which has a staggering $100,000 prize pool. Players can only enter this event if they win a ticket through the Daily Freeroll to $100k Weekly tournament. The qualifying tournament runs at 10 a.m. GMT daily, as well as at 10 p.m. Entry to this event can be earned upon creation of a new account, making a deposit of any amount, or playing 100 cash game hands of any stake or format.

To skip the qualifying stage and head straight into the $100k Weekly Freeroll, players will have to refer a friend to GGPoker, make a single deposit of $500 or more, or play 1,000 cash game hands of any stake or format. The freeroll runs at 4 p.m. GMT on Saturdays.

PokerStars

The ever-iconic PokerStars has a solid selection of options for players this weekend, and its New Year’s Series is well underway. With a total of $18,000,000 on offer, the series has been popular with players of all stakes. Here is a look at the highlights from the series this weekend for the low-stakes players.

$11 NLHE [7-Max, Mystery Bounty] $60,000 GTD

The Mystery Bounty format is now inescapable and always attracts big fields of players looking to bink the biggest bounty. Like all bounty tournaments, the prize pool will be split 50/50. The tournament starts at 7.30 p.m. GMT and will kick off with 8-minute-long levels. Players will receive a stack of 25,000 chips, good for 166 big blinds if they play from Level 1. Levels will increase to 10-minutes in length when registration closes at the end of Level 15. Players can re-enter a maximum of five times.

PokerStars Mystery Bounty Series 2025

$5.50 NLHE [PKO Micro Bounty Builder HR] $30,000 GTD

A staple in my own personal tournament schedule has gotten a prizepool boost this weekend. The $5.50 NLHE [PKO Micro Bounty Builder HR] has been given a prizepool of $30,000 this weekend, and at the buy-in level, it’s a must-play for those grinding the low stakes. Levels run for 8 minutes in duration throughout, and bounties start at $1.22 per knockout. Players start with 25,000, good for 125bb at the start of play. Registration remains open for 2 hours, and the tournament commences at 5.30 p.m. GMT. The tournament is sure to attract a big field on Saturday, and it would be no surprise if the guarantee is eclipsed.

$11 NLHE [PKO Sunday Storm] $100,000 GTD

Arguably, the jewel in PokerStars micro-stakes crown is the $11 NLHE [PKO Sunday Storm] $100,000 GTD. A staple in many poker players’ schedules, the tournament is a two-day affair, kicking off on Sunday at 7.05 p.m. GMT. Players get 10,000 chips for their $11 buy-in, worth 200 big blinds. They are also treated to a generous 10-minute level structure, and Day 1 play concludes 6 hours and 50 minutes after the tournament starts. Day 2 then commences at 7.05 GMT on Monday. Bounties start at $2.45 per knockout, and players are allowed five re-entries.

ACR

America’s Cardroom has a couple of options for players in the low-stakes streets.

ACR Poker MOSS 2026

$11 MOSS – $50,000 GTD

MOSS, the Mini Online Super Series, returns to ACR with $2,000,000 on offer in guaranteed prize pools. On Sunday, there is an $11 tournament with a tasty $50,000 guarantee and a generous structure. Players are given 30,000 chips and 15-minute levels, giving players plenty of time to play. There are 15 levels of registration and the tournament final table will be live streamed.

$5.50 The Dime MB – $50,000 GTD

Players can choose to qualify for Day 2 of the $5.50 The Dime MB – $50,000 GTD through one of the 12 starting flights running daily. Blinds run for 10 minutes in duration, and there are 12 levels of late registration. Flights play until the end of Level 15, which makes late registration an option for those looking to sneak into Day 2. Players can participate in as many flights as they would like, and the chips will be accumulated at the end of each flight and will be added to the Day 2 stack. Day 2 runs at 2.05 p.m. ET on February 1st.

What’s Next?

Best of luck to all who take to the felt, virtual or live, over the weekend.

That’s all for now, folks. Until next time.
