No Paywalls: Negreanu Confirms Free Main Event Coverage for WSOP 2026
Table of Contents
From the time the 2026 World Series of Poker schedule dropped last week, it become all the poker community could talk about. When the initial dust settled, the same community was left with two glaring questions: where is the Main Event final table on the calendar and where can we actually watch it?
In a recent update, GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu clarified several of these “missing details,” confirming to Poker.org that the days of paywalled Main Event coverage are officially behind us. You’ll find what he had to say about this as well as the undisclosed Main Event dates in this article.
The End of the PokerGO Paywall
For the past several years, catching the deep stages of the Main Event required a subscription to PokerGO. While that model supported high-quality production, Negreanu admits it limited the game’s reach.
According to Negreanu, one of GGPoker’s primary goals following their acquisition of the WSOP brand is to make the series as accessible as possible.
One of the ways to go about it, it retiring the PokerGO paywall for good:
No more paywalls. You’re getting streams every day… PokerGO’s model was dependent on a paywall, but it does hinder some of the showcasing of the game. Now it’s going to be out in the open.
Apart from the paywall, the GGPoker ambassador discussed a few more changes for the 2026 broadcast.
- The series will move away from a single-table focus, meaning that if two high-profile events are running simultaneously, fans can now choose between multiple streams.
- There will be new TV sets at Paris Las Vegas as a significant upgrade over 2025’s production quality.
The WSOP 2026 Final Table Is Not a “November Nine”
Another question that’s been cycling the headlines ever since the May 26–July 15 schedule came to light has been the omission of date for the Main Event final table. To no one’s surprise, this immediately sparked speculation that the WSOP was reviving the “November Nine” format or moving the finale to the WSOP Paradise stop in the Bahamas.
Negreanu was quick to shut down those theories, stating:
It’s not a November Nine. That’s not happening.
While the official dates still haven’t been inked, 2026 schedule currently clashes with the World Cup, and moving the Main Event finale to early August would allow the WSOP to avoid a viewership battle with one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
