Jun Obara Became The Bubble Boy Of Super High Roller Bowl X
The tournament attracted 23 total entries. Five players made it to the final day, but only four finished in the money.
Jun Obara fell victim to an unavoidable cooler: he got all-in with pocket kings against Sam Soverel’s pocket aces for a 50 BB pot. Left with just 3 BBs, he was unable to mount a comeback.
Nick Schulman finished in 4th place after losing a coin flip with A Q against Jason Koon’s J J .
Sam Soverel took 3rd place. In his final hand, he got all-in with 10 10 against Jason Koon’s A 8 for a 47 BB pot. Koon completed a flush on the board K 9 7 3 8 .
Joao Simao Was Destined to Win Super High Roller Bowl X
Sometimes luck stays with a player all the way to the very end of a tournament. That was exactly the case for Joao Simao at Super High Roller Bowl X. Jason Koon led for most of the final table, but fortune ultimately favored the Brazilian.
Koon took the lead three times during heads-up play, building chip advantages of 8-to-1, 7-to-1, and 4-to-1.
The first time, on the 13th hand, Simao got all-in with Q9o versus K9o for a 28 BB pot, hitting a queen on the river.
Next, Simao got all-in with K5s against KQo for a 36 BB pot and spiked trips fives on the board.
Finally, Simao got all-in with A5o versus TT for a 55.5 BB pot and caught an ace on the turn.
