‘The only party with guaranteed action’ is how the clever marketeers at partypoker describe their shiny new weekly fixture that goes by the name of … Sunday Party. This $109 buy-in Progressive Knockout (PKO) event with a tasty $150,000 guaranteed prize pool is sure to generate a lot of interest, as the combined prospect of a big prize fund and potentially hefty bounty rewards is too good to miss. This is what Sundays are all about in the world of real money online poker for any self-respecting online poker tournament player with even a modicum of ambition.

As for the details, the Sunday Party kicks off at 19:00 (GMT), and there’s no shortage of ways to qualify for (literally) pennies, thanks to an amazing satellite set-up. In fact, pennies is no exaggeration, as the quest for a $109 ticket starts at $0.01 for those who like a challenge. Regardless, whether you’re happy to jump right in for the full buy-in when the start time comes around, or you prefer to take advantage of the numerous qualifying routes, this new event is one for the diary.

And that’s not all of the new Sunday fun…

Partypoker Sunday Carnival.

There’s more to Sundays than lazing around in the afternoon recovering from a massive lunch, waiting for a new working week to come around. Luckily enough, at partypoker they’re well aware of this, so instead of resting on their laurels with just the one new tournament, they’re introducing another in the Sunday Carnival which, not surprisingly, is also aimed at jazzing up the weekend. This time it’s a $22 buy-in and a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool to battle away for against your fellow poker fans.

The first cards for this latest Sunday special will be dealt on the stroke of 19:00 (GMT) and, as with the Sunday Party, it’s possible to win your way to a seat with the satellite route starting at $0.01 …

So, in the everyman approach typified by partypoker, here are two exciting new Sunday tournaments into which to stick your poker teeth, and which offer bumper prize pools and options for all bankrolls.
