GGPoker Launches Weekly $100K Freeroll Starting October 18

The headline event is scheduled for every Saturday at 08:00 (UTC-8) on the dot, with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. Since this is a freeroll after all, players can’t buy in directly. Access is going to be limited to those holding a Weekly Freeroll Ticket, which can be earned through GGPoker’s new qualification system.

The next obvious question is how you get your hands on the Weekly $100K Freeroll Ticket. Well, there are two primary routes: daily freeroll events or activity-based unlocks tied to play volume and deposits. 

How The Daily Freerolls Fit In

From Sunday through Friday, GGPoker will host two freeroll tournaments each day: one at 02:00 and one at 14:00 (UTC-8). These Daily Freerolls don’t come cash prizes themselves. Instead, they’re feeders into the main event, awarding Weekly Freeroll Tickets to thousands of players each day.

To get into a Daily Freeroll, players need a Daily Freeroll Ticket, which can be earned by:

• Completing full account sign-up
• Making any deposit
• Playing 100 hands of cash games

Note: These tickets are valid for 7 days, with the requirements resetting each day at midnight (UTC-8).

Other Ways To Qualify For The Weekly $100K Freeroll

We mentioned there’s another way of getting you’re hands on the Weekly Freeroll Ticket, and there is. Players who want to bypass the freeroll path have a few direct ways to secure entry into the Saturday event:

• Play 1,000 hands of cash games during the week
• Make a deposit of $500 or more
• Refer a friend using GGPoker’s new Refer Your Friend feature

The referral system goes live the same day as the promotion, October 18 at 00:00 (UTC-8). Once active, both the referring player and their friend will receive a Weekly Freeroll Ticket after the new user signs up and makes their first deposit.

A Few More Notes Before You Enter

Before you go off chasing tickets, there are a few more details worth keeping in mind. First, all freeroll ticket progress resets daily at 00:00 (UTC-8), and any hand that starts before midnight but finishes after will count for the next day.

On another note, freeroll tickets won’t roll over indefinitely. Daily Freeroll Tickets expire after 7 days; Weekly Freeroll Tickets after 30. So, if you earn them, use them.
