Calvin Anderson Wins His Second WSOP 2026 Bracelet In Four Days

Just days after winning the $10K Razz Championship, Calvin Anderson followed it up with a victory in the $10K HORSE Championship for $413,580. The tournament attracted 189 entries, and Anderson defeated Josh Arieh heads-up ($275,620). Read on to find out who else captured WSOP bracelets.

In his winner’s interview, Anderson credited his success to a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, and avoiding alcohol. As for winning in HORSE, he said it comes down to choosing the right opponents and understanding their strengths and weaknesses across the different games.

Joao Simao Wins His Fourth Bracelet In The $50K High Roller PLO ($1,368,700)

Simao defeated Santhosh Suvarna heads-up to claim the title and $1,368,700, while Suvarna earned $912,420.

In the penultimate hand of the tournament (effective stack: 30 BB), Simao opened with A 7 7 5 and Suvarna called holding K Q 10 4 .

Flop: 2 7 K
Simao bet 2.25 BB (one-third pot).
Suvarna called.

Turn: 8
Simao bet 2.5 BB into a pot of 11.5 BB. Suvarna raised to 7.25 BB and Simao called.

River: K
Simao bet 15 BB into a pot of 26 BB. Suvarna spent two and a half minutes in the tank before making the call.

The next hand was the final one of the tournament. Suvarna 4-bet shoved with 10 10 8 6 , Simao called with A A J 9 .

Simao was emotional in his winner’s interview. His father passed away just a few days ago.

My main mission is to be a father. And winning a bracelet on Father’s Day is incredible.

This was the first-ever five-card Omaha event held at the WSOP. The victory gives Gruneberg the third bracelet of his career. His previous two bracelets came in online Hold’em events.

The tournament attracted a record-setting field of 472 entries. It was Deeb’s 17th career WSOP bracelet heads-up match. The duel lasted three and a half hours before Joey Couden emerged victorious.

Couden previously played No-Limit Hold’em professionally and got into mixed games as a hobby.
