The $5K WSOP Online Main Event at GGPoker is like the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas — only on the internet. Year after year this tournament generates prize pools bigger than the guarantees of many series.

How Ben «bencb789» Rolle Celebrated His $5K WSOP Online Main Event Victory

Rolle didn’t stream the final table live, but he recorded himself playing. After the tournament he went live on Twitch, opened a bottle of Chivas Regal he had saved for the occasion, and reviewed key hands from his run. The VOD is still available on his channel.

He also shared the motivational cheat sheet he kept by his side throughout the event:

And of course, Rolle kept grinding. He made the final table of the $10K WCOOP PKO Thursday Thrill High Roller, scheduled to finish Saturday night.

After the tournament Zlotnikov joined them, where they welcomed him like a Formula 1 champion — complete with champagne showers.

In his blog, Zlotnikov reflected on the run:

«Overall, the way I played in two or three tables before the final one was my best poker of the tournament. At the final table it was a mix of good moves and average ones. I hadn’t prepared enough and was mostly adapting to opponents.

I’m just trying to stay present; it hasn’t really sunk in yet. I’m very proud of myself. This upswing feels earned — I’m currently showing the best win rates of my life, all lines in the green. There’s still a lot to work on, especially in $1K+ events where the psychology of “this player is smarter than me” sometimes gets to me, but that’s solvable.»

Like Rolle, Zlotnikov quickly jumped back into action. In a fun twist, he and Rolle ended up at the same table in the $10K GGMillion$.

The WSOP Online series on GGPoker runs through September 30 with three bracelets still to be awarded:

• September 28 — $1.5K The Closer NLHE Bounty Turbo [Final Stage]
• September 29 — $10K GGMillion$ High Rollers $10M GTD [Day 2]
