Alex Foxen Wins $10K PGT Last Chance for $232,400
Table of Contents
Alex Foxen has become a dominant force in the High Stakes Poker MTT scene. Often seen playing the highest stakes, Foxen has been mixing it with the best in the business since his first foray into the world of High Stakes Poker back in 2018, and the Las Vegas local is showing no signs of slowing down. Foxen closed out the main 2025 PGT season on Saturday with his 12th career title in the PGT Last Chance Series Event #6: $10,100 No-Limit Hold’em, banking $232,400 for besting the field of 83 total entrants. The victory has put Foxen atop the PGT leaderboard, as he scored 232 points for the victory. More on that later. The three-time WSOP bracelet winner has now reached $54,337,322 in live tournament earnings according to thehendonmob.com, which puts him in 11th place in the overall All-Time Money List. Here is a look at the action.
How It Started
The prizepool of $830,000 was produced by 83 entries, and despite the field being on the small side, the quality was abundant; Duel WSOP $10,000 Main Event Champion and multiple $50,000 PPC Winner, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, Sam Sovrel, who Foxen surpassed at the top of the leaderboard counts, and Andrew “LuckyChewy” Lichtenberger were just a trio of names from a star-studded affair.

Only 12 would find the money, and it was Stoyan Madanzhiev who was the victim of the bubble. He got it in good with ace-ten against ace-seven, but was denied the min-cash and a shot at the trophy when a seven hit the river. The players who fell first in the money were a notable who’s who: PGT regular Matthew Wantman (12th – $20,750), High Stakes veteran Byron Kaverman (11th – $24,900), Poker Hall of Famer and ten-time WSOP Bracelet Winner Erik Seidel (10th – $24,900), High Roller regular Philip Sternheimer (9th – $24,900), and the outstanding all-rounder Chino Rheem (8th – $33,200) were the first to depart.
Final Table
Josh Arieh came into the final table with the chip lead, but it wasn’t long until he was usurped at the top of the counts by Brandon Wilson. Wilson was in pursuit of his second title of the series, having won the PGT Last Chance Event #3: $10,100 No-Limit Hold’em for $275,400 just a few days prior.

Mike Zulker was the first to go at the final table in seventh place when he ran ace-jack into ace-queen, and Aram Oganyan joined his tablemate when he departed in sixth. Popular poker coach and YouTuber Jonathan Little was out in fifth after his ace-six fell to king-queen of Arieh. Arieh was next out in a quick string of bust-outs, and he fell to Wilson in a blind v blind confrontation. Wilson open-jammed king-four, Arieh called with ace-nine suited in what was a clash between the biggest stacks at the table.

Foxen then went on to claim a crucial pot versus Wilson, as his pocket tens held against ace-queen suited to help him climb up the counts of the remaining quartet. Foxen then went on to claim more of Wilson’s stack, as he jammed Queen-deuce into Foxen’s ace-king, which remained best by the river of a jack-high runout. Lichtenberger was the next to go in third place when he jammed ten-eight from the small blind and was called by Wilson’s ace-four in the big blind. Lichtenberger flopped a pair and turned two pair, but the river gave Wilson a wheel, which presented Wilson with the advantage going into heads-up play.
Heads-Up
Foxen ate into Wilson’s advantage before flipping the script on Foxen by retaking the lead. Wilson’s ace-four suited held against king-three, which left Foxen with fumes. However, Foxen kept on going, mounting a comeback by winning numerous 60/40s. With the lead having switched back and forth throughout heads-up, Foxen won a massive pot with king-seven suited to best the ace-jack of Wilson. Foxen made a straight on the river to leave Wilson playing short-stack duties, and it wasn’t long after that until they played for everything. Ultimately, Foxen called a button shove with ace-queen suited against Wilson’s jack-ten. Neither player hit anything, and ace-high was good for Foxen, earning him his 12th career PGT title.
