Alex Foxen and Robert Cowen Bounce Back at Triton Jeju, Each Winning a Title in the Final Events

Alex Foxen and Robert Cowen Bounce Back at Triton Jeju, Each Winning a Title in the Final Events

These are two stories about how important it is to stay calm, keep a positive mindset, and continue grinding — even when a series is going really badly. At the end of the article, we’ll also tell you when and where the next Triton series will take place. Spoiler: Triton Invitational is back.

Alex Foxen closes strong in $75K PLO, winning his fourth title and $1,260,000

This seven-figure score helped Foxen break even for the series. He played the full schedule (total buy-ins = $950K excluding re-entries) and had earned $359K in prizes before this event.
Foxen entered the final table with the biggest stack and maintained the lead throughout.

Things were really easy. It’s amazing, the tournament was basically dealt to me. I can only take so much credit. It was a very fortunate run of cards. I had the right hands at the right time.

These stops can be really gruelling, especially if things aren’t going your way, it can be tough emotionally. Also just tough physically, to stay rested throughout the long series. So I was definitely disappointed with the way everything was going, and it’s been a bit of a tough series for me. But it feels really good to end it on a good note… It’s definitely extremely sweet.

Robert Cowen Triton Jeju 2026

This was Cowen’s first Triton title. His series had also been disappointing up to that point: he played 5 events without cashing (total buy-ins = $250K excluding re-entries).

I think it’s gone as well as any final could go. Just ran very, very hot.

I feel good. It’s a rough series, so it’s nice to claw a lot back. And obviously to win my first event is brilliant. It’s always nice to win.
