A Look At The Schedule for WSOP Europe

A Look At The Schedule for WSOP Europe

The European instalment of the world-famous World Series of Poker will be underway in just a few days. Running from March 31 through April 12, organisers decided to move the event back from its usual autumnal slot of September and October. Not only that, but the location has changed. Instead of Europe’s palace of poker, King’s Resort and Casino, the largest cardroom on the continent, WSOPE has found a new home at the luxurious Hilton Prague in the heart of the Czech capital, a move that will be popular with players and sure to attract newcomers. Here is a look at what players can look forward to over the 11-day stint, which will see a whopping 15 bracelets awarded.

€5,300 WSOP Europe Main Event – €10M GTD

The marquee event of the week is the €5,300 WSOP Europe Main Event. This event comes with a staggering €10,000,000 in guaranteed money, and players will have the chance to qualify for Day 2 across three Day 1 flights. What is important to note is the buy-in. Previously, WSOPE Main Events have been priced at €10,350, whereas now the price has almost halved!

Last year in Rozvadov, Daniel Pidun rose to the top of the pack in a €6,000,000-guaranteed event in October, besting a field of 659 players to win his first WSOP Bracelet and a massive score of €1,140,000. It would be no surprise to see Pidun take to the felt to defend his title, especially with the bumper guarantee and the discounted buy-in.

Blind levels will run for 60 minutes each, and there will be a break every two levels. Players who play from the start will receive a stack worth 300 big blinds, which is 60,000 chips. Players are allowed two re-entries per flight, and it is a stack choice format, meaning players can play multiple flights, and their biggest stack will go forward into Day 2.

For those on a budget or seeking a discount, there will be satellites running. The biggest and best offering is the €600 satellite, which runs on April 2nd, where a guaranteed 10 tickets will be up for grabs.

WSOPE 2026 Rise Up Promotion

Another fun addition to this tournament is the Easter-themed Rise Up promotion. Players who are eliminated early in the Main Event can win their way back into the same flight by picking an egg that contains €5,300. Only players who have been eliminated and choose to re-enter before late registration closes can take part in the promotion and pick an egg. To learn more about the promotion, click here.

€1,500 European Circuit Championship – €1.5M GTD

A newcomer to the schedule, the €1,500 European Circuit Championship comes with a tasty €1,500,000 in guaranteed prize money, enough to whet the appetite of any player of any bankroll. The tournament is bound to attract a large field across the four starting flights. With a generous structure of 40-minute levels, unlimited reentries, and a stack choice format, it would be no surprise to see that the €1,500,000 guarantee be smashed before the start of Day 2.

Last years €1,500 champion was Darius Neagoe of Romania in the Mystery Millions. Neagoe’s victory saw him collect a second WSOPE Bracelet in as many years, and he became the sixth player in the nearly 20-year history of the WSOP Europe to win multiple bracelets. The tournament attracted 692 entrants, generating a prize pool of €903,680, with Neagoe taking home €100,350 of that total. Clearly, WSOP thinks the poker scene in Europe has grown since the last time, considering the incredible guarantee.

€20,800 Super High Roller

This €20,800 event is sure to attract the best players from Europe and across the world. The two-day event comes with no guarantee, but the chance at a shiny gold bracelet is incentive enough for most of the top players. Blind levels will run for 60 minutes each, and there will be a break every two levels. Players who play from the start will receive a stack worth 150 big blinds, which is 150,000 chips. Players can register until the end of Level 10, and play will cease after the first 9 levels. This means there are opportunities for players to max late reg at the beginning of Day 2.

Shaun Deeb €25,000 Super High Roller

Shaun Deeb took down the equivalent tournament in Rozvadov last year, the €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em GGMillion€, for his eighth career bracelet and €329,000, having won his seventh bracelet in Las Vegas in the $100,000 PLO Super High Roller in the summer beforehand. He rose to the top of the star-studded field of 38 players, besting Brazil’s Iago Savino heads-up.
