PokerStars are advising players in North America to save the dates of between September 15th through October 2nd for the first ever North America Championship of Online Poker (NACOOP).
Online players in Ontario, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey will be able to enjoy their largest ever championship with $7 million guaranteed across the series.
The NACOOP 2023 gets underway on September 15 and will be bringing all of the thrills and excitement we have come to expect from the PokerStars championship to the markets of Ontario and Pennsylvania as well as the combined market of New Jersey and Michigan.
For the first time in history all three COOPs will be synchronized to make a combined series of NACOOP.
The inaugural NACOOP, in Ontario, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey, will be offering more than 70 events in its schedule allowing players the chance to claim their slice of a guaranteed $7 million prize pool.
More Than Just Money up for Grabs
Players will also have the chance to get their hands on a 24 Karat Gold plated trophy, reserved for the NACOOP Main Event champions. Buy-ins range from $10 all the way up to $2,500+ and there will be plenty of opportunities to buy-in directly plus numerous qualification routes made available.
PokerStars are offering players the chance to qualify for the $300 NACOOP Main Event with additional Satellite tournaments for select events starting from just $1. Players in the shared player pool of Michigan and New Jersey will be guaranteed $3 million in prizes as they compete in USCOOP, while Pennsylvania poker players will be competing over $2.5 million for PACOOP. North of the border, players in Ontario will be fighting it out over a GTD $1.5 million, which is around $2 million CAD in local money.
To take part in the NACOOP 23 in the United States, players will need to sign up for an account with PokerStars PA, PokerStars NJ or PokerStars MI and, of course, be located within the correct state.
As of yet the full schedule is still to be confirmed, but details of everything we know so far are highlighted below.
NACOOP Highlights Include:
- The $300 Main Event
- The $,500 Super High Roller Championship
- 20 Trophy Events
- $10k Leaderboards in each liquidity
- There will be multiple game formats including No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Mixed games and more…
