With the upcoming PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship (PSPC) festival kicking off on 22 January in the exotic, luxurious setting of the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas, the chance of getting your hands on a much sought-after $30,000 Platinum Pass is well worth getting involved in. And whether you’re an inexperienced recreational player or an online poker tournament afficionado, all you have to do to be in with a shout is listen to the latest Poker in the Ears Podcast - PokerStars ambassadors James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton will be doing their thing, and one lucky listener from the PokerStars community will be awarded the star prize.
The $30,000 Platinum Pass includes:
- $25,000 buy-in to the PSPC
- Six nights in a 5-star hotel for the winner and a guest
- $1,900 for expenses
- Airport transfer
- Platinum Pass winner experiences during the event
The competition is open until 00:01 (GMT) on 16 January for listeners in the UK, Canada and US (note that this excludes those based in Florida and the states of New York and Washington).
How It Works
To be in contention for the Platinum Pass, entrants must be on the PokerStars Discord channel and complete the following steps:
- Log/Set up a free account on the PokerStars Discord server
- Locate the #podcast-discussion Poker in the Ears channel
- Post “I’m in” in the channel to enter
- Receive a survey link to complete on 16 January. Note that only the first 50 responses will advance to the next stage of the competition, so keep your eyes peeled!
- Between 16:00 and 18:00 GMT on 18 January, one entrant will randomly receive a call from James and Joe, who will continue ringing contestants at random until someone picks up.
- The entrant will need to answer a trivia question correctly from one of three categories: PCA, PSPC and the Bahamas.
- The first person to answer correctly will win the Platinum Pass!
