Double the Excitement With Run It Twice at Americas Cardroom

Double the Excitement With Run It Twice at Americas Cardroom

As if poker were not exciting enough... have you tried out Run it Twice? If not – where have you been? The great and the good of poker can’t seem to get enough of having two showdowns if poker shows on TV are anything to go by. Fortunately for the everyday poker fan, Americas Cardroom has a number of nice touches, one of which is their Run it Twice facility.

While doing this does indeed add an extra element of fun to proceedings, it also could be argued that essentially splitting up the hand into two reduces the stress a little as we get to address the thorny subject of variance. Indeed, with particularly big pots, giving ourselves instead two bites of the proverbial cherry by running it twice can indeed make quite a difference during the course of a session.

How It Works

If you feel like your nerves and bankroll will both have a less stressful time by running it twice, simply go to Settings in the Americas Cardroom software, click on Playing Tools, and select Run it Twice, after which the facility is switched on and you’re good to go. Then, when shoving for all your chips, thus introducing the prospect of an all-in showdown, the other player simply clicks the button to Run it Twice and, with both parties agreed, two separate hands are created, and the board sees two ‘runs’ take place, with each worth half of the pot.

Note: If an all-in is called pre-flop, two different hands will hit the board, while if you Run it Twice post-flop the second hand will use an identical flop and feature distinct Turns and Rivers.

The Run it Twice feature is one of numerous ways of jazzing up the real money poker games at Americas Cardroom. Others include Blitz Poker (named after Blitz chess), the poker room’s own fast-fold poker version, and special tables at which so-called Bomb Pots appear at random in which larger pots are created by all players placing mandatory antes and the hand starting at the Flop! It all adds to the overall experience and, along with a great tournament schedule, for instance, is why Americas Cardroom is proving so popular.

Have fun!
