Daily 3-Bet: Doyle Returns, Piece of Mouth, Faraz Got Game

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a fresh Caipirinha, a heaping plate of Feijoada and a heartwarming game of NLHE that crosses all international poker news borders.

Want to see something featured in a future 3-Bet? Tell us about it below.

Today in the 3-Bet we find a legend returning for this summer's WSOP, a rare chance to buy a piece of Mike Matusow and Faraz Jaka finds poker family in Brazil.

1) Doyle Back for WSOP?

According to his Hendon Mob page, Doyle Brunson's last WSOP cash came in the Main Event in 2013 (409th for $28k, btw).

1977 Doyle Brunson

One more bracelet isn't too much to ask, is it?

Prior to that he cashed three times in the 2009 WSOP.

The last of his 10 bracelets?

2005, in $5k Short-handed No-Limit Hold'em.

Still, it's hard to think of a single player more synonymous with the WSOP than the Godfather.

He may have been passed by Phil Hellmuth for overall bracelets but his presence still looms the largest in the halls of the Rio.

Citing a (very reasonable) disinterest in long tournament hours and the pull of juicy cash games Brunson has rarely dabbled in the bracelet chase in past years.

But, by the sounds of his Twitter feed, that may change this year:

I actually am thinking about playing all the 10k events. Depends on my wife's health issues. https://t.co/7XybolsXOT— Doyle Brunson (@TexDolly) May 16, 2017

Besides the obvious wish for good health for his wife, it'd be a thrill for us (and thousands of poker fans) to see Doyle back in the hunt again. We'll be sure to get a word with him this summer either way.

2) Want a Piece of the Mouth?

Mike Matusow

Can Matusow win again, too?

Speaking of iconic poker figures having a go at this year's World Series of Poker ... how about a nice deep run from Mike "The Mouth" Matusow to really make things feels like 2005 all over again?

You can even buy your very own piece of his action via Tasty Stakes!

Get it while it's hot as half of his $10k action is already sold.

Fields where he's less of a favorite - the $11k One Drop and $50k Players Championship - are going slower. Get your share here.

3) Faraz Gets the Brazilian Home Game Treatment

Remember that "Crash Your Brazilian Home Game" challenge Faraz Jaka posted on Twitter a few weeks ago?

By the looks of it it's going smashingly well - and Jaka is getting a healthy dose of the famed Brazilian hospitality so evident on any poker rail.

Such a brilliant idea. And yet another way poker can open doors to experiences you never imagined. Follow Jaka's trip on Instagram and Twitter.
