Today in the 3-Bet we find the underrated Adrian Mateos shining again, two former World Champs team up and Daniel Negreanu wants your luck.
1) Mateos Ices SCOOP for $234k

How good is Mateos?
His name is rarely mentioned when talks of "best player in the game" arise but maybe, if things break right at this summer's WSOP, he'll finally start getting some pull.
In the meantime he just continues to pile up impressive result after impressive result under the radar.
Already both a WSOPE Main Event champ AND EPT Grand Final champ, Mateos quietly pocketed another near $1m score ($988,924) this year by winning the €50k 8-Max Shot Clock event at PSC Monaco.
Over the weekend he added another quarter million to his online tally by outlasting 693 players in SCOOP Event #30-H $2,100 NL 6-Max for $234k.
Those are not easy tournaments to win. Since he broke onto the scene in late 2012 his results have been remarkably consistent - so much so he's already collected $8.17m in career earnings.
That's good for 2nd on Spain's all-time money list and less than $4m behind Carlos Mortensen - a man who's won the WSOP Main Event, 3 WPT titles and has cashes dating back to 1999.
That's absurd company for someone yet to turn 23. Oh, and he also won a bracelet in his first WSOP last year. We're excited to see he'll do in his second full WSOP this summer.
2) Riess and Cada Like Changes, Join Forces
The bombshell poker news of the week so far has been, of course, yesterday's announcement by the WSOP that the November Nine era had come to a close.
Worked out well for Riess, though.
After nine years of a 4-month delay the prestigious $10,000 Main Event will now once again conclude in July - the final table a culmination of two straights weeks (with a couple days off) of poker.
Purists sighed in relief. Many column inches have been inked (metaphorically, obv) in analysis. But who better to ask how they feel about it than two former Champions who actually played - and won - the November Nine?
The Detroit News spoke to both Ryan Riess and Joe Cada about it and, while both had fond memories of their experiences, they agreed it was time for it to go.
"I think it is good that it is going away," Riess said.
"I think it was overdue," added Cada. "Especially how much money is on the line, accidents do happen."
While Riess said he thinks a bit more than two days would be a better break before the final table ("a week or so would be perfect"), both are looking forward to seeing it play out in 2017.
Another thing they're excited about? The two former champs will team up to play the WSOP Tag Team event to start the Series off.

It's not often getting the "privilege" to spend $15,000 and possibly come away with nothing can be considered "lucky," but in this case that's a pretty good assessment. This is a pretty good deal.
