Top 5 Poker Streamers in Brazil

Over the years, the number of streamers worldwide multiplied a couple of times over, with hundreds of niches creating their new “communicators,” and Brazil’s no different. Another field that has grown significantly in recent years is poker, especially after the WSOP Main Event was won by a recreational player in 2002, generating the famous Moneymaker Effect.

With the boom in both fields, the convergence between poker players and live broadcasts was inevitable. In Brazil, hundreds of professional and recreational players spend hours grinding while being watched by dozens, hundreds and sometimes even thousands of spectators.

Felipe “Mojave” Ramos is perhaps the most popular among them, not only for his charisma, but also for his surprising results in both online and live poker. Other names, such as Olívio Gontijo, “BIGFAT,” and Elvis “Catholao” Renan have built their communities around the card game, while new stars, such as Bárbara Akemi, have already broadcast major achievements live – such as the WSOP Online 2025 Ladies Event bracelet.

With the growth of these names, poker is also growing, attracting new recreational players and even training new professionals who find inspiration in streamers – just like many other professionals who started their careers after watching a tournament broadcast on television.

That’s why we at PokerListings have put together a little bit of the history of some of these names so you can find your favorite.

1. Olívio “BIGFAT” Gontijo

At 28 years old, with almost 10 of those as a professional player, Olívio Gontijo is currently one of the biggest creators of poker content in Brazil. Broadcasting almost daily on Twitch, the Santa Catarina native has accumulated impressive results in his career, combining entertainment with technical quality.

Playing professionally since 2018, Gontijo broadcast one of the biggest prizes of his career live in September 2024: the player was the CSOP Main Event champion and celebrated the feat, which was unimaginable until then, with hundreds of fans.

2. Elvis “Catholão” Renan

Another major poker content creator in Brazil is Catholão, the “King of the Jungle,” who also broadcasts his grinds almost daily, sharing his daily life as a professional player with his followers, as well as giving tips to those who want to get started in the game.

His career began in the early 2010s, but it didn’t take long for him to establish himself as a professional: in 2017, he joined the Pará poker team for the first time, and in 2019, he was Pará Poker Champion.

Catholão also has other “big hits” in his career, whether in the WCOOP, SCOOP, or KSOP, but he has never stopped being there for his fans, balancing his professional life as a player and content creator very well.

3. Felipe “Mojave” Ramos

Felipe Ramos, better known as Mojave, is one of the most traditional names in Brazilian poker and a very popular name worldwide. He has thousands of followers on social media and has reached several final tables in online and live tournaments, with a history of over £4 million in winnings in live events alone.

Although not always as active in live streams as some YouTubers/streamers, Mojave usually broadcasts fairly frequently and stands out for his keen insight into the fundamentals of poker, commenting live on his strategies and interacting with fans on social media. His credibility in the poker world makes him a technical reference for many players who follow him.

4. Paulo “Pai do Nuts” Bortolucci

Paulo Bortolucci, nicknamed Pai do Nuts, is a rapidly rising figure among poker streamers in Brazil, having been announced as a partner of 888poker earlier this year after streaming more than a thousand hours in 2024. In the same year, he was voted Male Streamer of the Year at the Mundo Poker Awards, further raising his profile on the scene and demonstrating his strength in the niche.

Playing poker since 2014, he decided to try his luck at the game after experiencing financial difficulties following his marriage, and started playing “for a friend” for just over a year. It was a year of learning, leading Paulo to turn professional. With a bankroll of US$ 2.5K, the player started playing on his own and has been playing this way for over five years.

Bárbara Akemi is one of the leading female representatives of poker in Brazil today and also the biggest streamer. Born in Londrina-PR and currently living in Florianópolis, she has been broadcasting her poker sessions for about 3 years and stands out for her great achievements, such as being the first Brazilian to win the Sunday Million.

Emotionally, she manages to balance her performance in the game with her closeness to the audience, which helps keep her among the most viewed on Portuguese-language poker channels. During the 2025 WSOP Online, Bárbara broadcast one of the most special moments in poker when she won the Ladies Event Championship, earning her first bracelet and over £20,000.
