Another Boost for US Poker Fans Thanks to PokerStars

Here at PokerListings our mission is a global one, the aim being to promote the game of poker while at the same time searching out the best online poker bonuses and offers around so that our community can continue to have a great overall experience when they log in to their favourite online poker rooms.

Progress for the industry and for the game itself is, not surprisingly, an ongoing matter, and one of the areas (literally) that is an interesting indicator of where poker stands on a world level is its expansion in the United States. PokerStars can take deserved credit in this regard, with continued efforts in recent years reaping rewards and, in the process, affording certain US poker fans the opportunity to (legitimately) enjoy real money online poker - note that this is after years in the wilderness as a result of the effective online gambling ban that was the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006.

Poker players in the regions covering the combined player-pools of Michigan and New Jersey in particular have been fortunate enough to be at the epicentre of so much online poker activity in recent months, and now – for a limited period - they’ll be able to experience the rollercoaster ride that is Zoom poker at PokerStars.

What Is Zoom Poker?

Zoom poker takes the traditional Texas Hold'em and Omaha cash games and adds a bit of spice... It’s a format that takes advantage of the wonders of technology, the point being that as soon as a player folds a hand, they are sent to a brand new table and thrown straight into the mix with a shiny new hand. Indeed, the so-called Fast Fold facility allows you to go hurtling through the ether to new pastures even if it’s not your turn to act. This is all made possible because everyone at the same stakes is placed in a fluid pool of players rather than being assigned to the one table.

Zoom is available to play via both the desktop and mobile platforms, with buy-ins ranging from a bankroll-friendly $2 to $200. Note that you can also take advantage of Zoom Early Bird, which sees the first 10 players who start or join a Zoom pool eligible for 2x rewards points during the first 10 minutes of play.

PSPC Online. $2,5 MILLION GTD.

Meanwhile, there’s still time for players in New Jersey and Michigan as well as Pennsylvania to battle it out for your share of the prizes on offer in the PSPC Online Series, with a seven-figure sum still to be won! In fact, the Main Event doesn’t get underway until 29 January, and there remain plenty of chances to qualify via a choice of satellites, including $2.50 Spin & Go games running around the clock! Add this to satellites and registration for other main events, and it’s too good to miss for any budding online poker tournament hero.
