Despite being down hundreds of thousands in the high stakes games on PokerStars this year Ilari Sahamies refuses to quit and last night it paid off.

The swingy Finn blazed through 1,592 hands of $50/$100 to $100/$200 PLO and smoked his opponents for a total of $324k.

It was no easy task for Sahamies as a murderer’s row of online pros were on hand including Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Ben “milkybarkid” Grundy, Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond, Ben “Ben86” Tollerene and Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky.

The Finnish pro overcame the loaded line up and took down the biggest pot of the night when he won a $99k monster off Galfond. The Helsinki native got a bit lucky as he rivered set over set.

Sahamies is now down $362k on PokerStars in 2012. Considering he was down close to a million at the start of the year it’s not a terrible place to be.

Amazingly Galfond was able to battle back and finish the night with a $61k profit.

Alexey “LuckyGump” Makarov was the other big winner as he pulled down a total of $99k last night. David “Deldar182” Eldar also continued his winning ways by dragging in $66k.

Isaac “philivey2694” Haxton must be getting over losing $500k to Isildur1 in the SuperStar Showdown because he picked up a very decent $83k last night.

Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky had the dubious honor of being the biggest donator last night as he dumped $118k into the high stakes games.

Some of the other notable losers this time around included Isildur1 (-$96k), Ben86 (-$88k) and Ronny “1-ronnyr3” Kaiser (-$74k).
