OMG! Four-way all-in at high-stakes PLO

Brian Rast
The tsar of poker.
By: Arthur Crowson

It's fairly rare to see a four-way all-in at the nosebleed stakes of online poker, but it's rarer still to see the pot worth close to $200,000.

That's exactly what happened late last night when Brian "tsarrast" Rast, Hac "trex313" Dang, Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies and OnTheRize got involved in a massive hand.

It all went down at Pantheon, which is a six-max Pot-Limit Omaha table on Full Tilt Poker. Action was five-handed when the fireworks started.

In the hand trex313 opened for $1,200 from UTG, OnTheRize raised to $4,200, Rast called, Sahamies called and trex313 reraised to $21,200. Everyone called and the pot was already up to $85,000 before a single flop card had been seen.

As it was, the flop came T 4 2, and it didn't take long for everyone to get their money in. Sahamies shoved for his last $31,998, trex313 called for slightly less, OnTheRize called and tsarrast called for his last $21,542.

Their cards?

tsarrast: K J J 3

Ziigmund: A 5 9 3

Trex313: A A T 9

OnTheRize: 8 2 6 5

With some massive draws out there, the board finished with the 9 and finally the 4 on the river. Rast made his flush to take the main pot and OnTheRize took the side pot with his smaller flush.

When all was said and done Rast went from having $42,742 at the start of the hand to a whopping $213,000 after the river card, essentially quadrupling up. Not a bad day, all things considered.
