Isildur1's $3.1 Million Comeback
Isildur1 returned with a vengeance yesterday winning $3.1 million from Tom Dwan, Ilari Sahamies and Brian Townsend on Full Tilt.
Prior to yesterday's action, Isildur1 was in the midst of a massive multi-million dollar downswing and fans were starting to wonder just how much abuse his bankroll could take.
The unknown Swede's night started at six-max $100/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha where he made $87k, about $20k of that coming from Townsend.
The two rivals made the move to a heads-up table where Isildur1 lost $20k in just 17 hands before convincing Townsend to continue the battle at $300/$600. Over the next 1,466 hands Isildur1 dominated Townsend, leaving the session up over $782k.
Almost immediately after Townsend had logged off, Isildur1 found his next opponent in Dwan. The two sat at $300/$600 No-Limit Hold’em for an impressive 3,228 hands, over which Dwan came out $77k to the good.
Isildur1 and Dwan continued their battle after moving up to $500/$1,000 PLO, where Isildur1 pulled out all the stops to win $615k in just 300 hands.
After putting an end to Dwan’s comeback, Isildur1 chose to sit with Sahamies at $300/$600 PLO. The two players lasted just 96 hands, over which Isildur1 won $252k, before jumping up to $500/$1,000 for the remainder of their battle.
Over the 945 hand session, Isildur1 absolutely destroyed Sahamies winning all five of the largest pots of the day, up over $1.6 million.
In total Isildur1 made a whopping $3.1 million on the day, continuing his pattern of epic bankroll swings and putting him back up to almost $840k on the year.
