Isildur1, Ivey play second-ever $1m pot
In another evening filled with massive action on Sunday, Isildur1 beat Phil Ivey out of a seven-figure pot - the second largest ever played online.
Two days ago, Ivey and Patrik Antonius took Isildur1 to the cleaners for over $3.6 million. Tom Dwan, smelling the blood in the water, sat with the unknown Swede last night to try and finish the job.
Isildur1 held his own against Dwan once again, however, beating the Full Tilt pro out of another $770k.
The minute after he finished his session with Dwan, Isildur1 and Ivey started up on the $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tables.
Up over $900k after 1,431 hands, Ivey agreed to change over to Pot-Limit Omaha and continued to dominate until he found himself on the losing end of the second-largest pot ever played online.
After a raise and two re-raises pre-flop, both players checked the J♠ K♠ J♦ flop. The 10♦ fell on the turn and Ivey called Isildur1's check-raise, putting the pot over $400K going into the river.
The river came the 5♦ and for the first time Isildur1 led out, putting Ivey all in. Ivey made the $360k call but mucked his hand when Isildur1 turned over K♦ 4♦ 5♥ K♣ for the nut full house.
If it wasn't for the $1.3 million dollar pot won by Antonius over Isildur1 on Saturday night, at $1.1 million, this would have been the largest pot in online history.
As it stands now, Isildur1 has been involved in all of the top 10 largest online pots of all time and all within the last week.
Thanks to the $1.1 million pot, Isildur1 managed to save his session losing only $337k to Ivey. With his $770k profit from Dwan, Isildur1 finished the night up over $430k.

2009-11-27Isildur is much closer to bust then dwan. Dwan has been making lots of cash for years. Just the last year alone he has made millions of his online and cash poker T.V. shows. And now with his new contract at Full Tilt, Dwan has a much bigger roll then isildur. Isildur has been playing less then 2 months and all of his hands have been recorded. Even if they assume he deposited 1 million there where times last week he was very close to going "busto". Isildur will be a has-been before the new year. He just isn't afraid to get all of his money in on a draw with one card to come. The odds will eventually catch up with isil and he will be GONE!!!!!!!!

2009-11-25TOM, Dwan has won millions and been around for ages, so him losing 5 million and not being anywhere near busto is reasonable. isildur1 is an unknown with no previous winnings before this streak, so if he lost back the same then it makes sense to think he's closer to being bust out of the 2. Where is the bias? I think you just imagined it.

2009-11-24Heh isuldur looks finished to me....sitting with 1.3 million.
Love it as usual...pokerlistings seems to think that Tom Dwan has a bottomless pit having lost over 5 million and this kid loses back the same and is therefore near "busto."
Top marks for schoolboy reporting as usual about online poker. NO BIAS AT ALL.
